    Rules & Regulations (all read)

    Quarter Length: 8 mins
    Sliders: OS/ILL sliders
Season Length: 30 games (5 games/8 day block....games open every Monday and are due the following Tuesday at 6pm central time)

Everyone knows how to play in a mature manner; so it's expected from all to play in a sportsmanlike and responsible way. The few rules we will incorporate into the league are outlined as such:

    - PIP - 2nd Chance < 50% (automatic forfeit if broken, even by 1 percent; 50.4% is rounded down to 50%)

    - Football outlets must wait for the defense to catch up before a shot is taken (even if after a turnover or blocked shot). Limit regular outlets/fast breaks to long rebounds, steals, blocks, and other turnovers. No need for your forward to outlet a rebound to your streaking PG/SG after and opponents shot. Basically, keep it realistic.

    - No whining publicly on the chatbox.

    - On ball defense is MANdatory (unless switching to defend a player who is coming off a screen, but you must switch back). In zone, you must be on ball, but if your zone messes up, switching to the "out of position" player is allowed. Stay as near to the ball in zone defense as possible.

    - Following the man receiving the inbound pass is prohibited. Let them receive the inbound. If down in the last 2 minutes of the game, pressuring the man is allowed.

    - Do not lock on to the ball handler as he passes halfcourt in order to achieve the backcourt animation violation. If done accidentally, hold the ball for 5 seconds on the following inbound pass and give the ball back. If your opponent goes backcourt by themselves on accident, you may keep the ball.

The rest are the unwritten rules that everyone knows to follow in order to respect the game's integrity (stealing inbounds, pressing, backcourt, sharing the offensive wealth, etc...). Everyone knows what real basketball is. You don't see players shaking like they are having a seizure on the floor in real life, so let's not see those pump fakes 3-4 times a possession. A pump after a kickout is fine, but not after every pass.

Follow these and have a good season, everyone.
