I know the game hasn't been out all that long, but hopefully you guys have had some good games so far. I'll start.
UGA (me) @ Miami (my friend)
I started off the game just pounding the ball with Caleb King and ended the 1st quarter up 14-3 on two King TD's (a 22 yarder and a 1 yarder after a 65 yard run). He scored a 72 yard TD on an out route to his TE who somehow outran both Prince Miller and Reshad Jones. How, I don't know. At that point, it was 14-10.
Here's where it got interesting. Fucking Joe Cox threw two interceptions deep in Miami territory in the 2nd quarter, and though he couldn't capitalize on either, I basically screwed myself out of 14 points and a commanding halftime lead. One of the INT's was bullshit, with his blitzing MLB suddenly dropping back and putting his springs on to leap for a pick, but hey, it happens. I was up 14-10 at half.
He scored on his first drive of the 2nd half by cheesing with Jacory Harris all the way downfield, but I returned the ensuing kickoff with Carlton Thomas 96 yards to go back up, 21-17. He managed to sneak a 54-yard FG through to make it 21-20 me going to the 4th. Then, Graig Cooper ran in from 18 yards out but he missed the 2-pt conversion and it was 26-21 him. On a drive when Joe Cox didn't actually throw an interception, I moved it downfield and found AJ Green for the TD. 29-26 me after the 2-pt conversion. But, I left 2 minutes on the clock for him, and with 7 seconds remaining, Harris found Travis Benjamin just over the goalline for the winning score.
Final Score: Miami 33, UGA 29
Some bullshit stuff went on but it was still a fun, exciting game that I'm sure we all love to have and that we were looking for in this game.
