Dave, thanks for the props and the great write-up. I will say that I'm nowhere near elite, above average at best. I need to be more consistent to ever be even close to elite. I will give guys like Mobb and DSA a good game all the way until the end, then go out and get blown out by some bum.

Red is spot on. DSA is #1, Mobb is #2, then everyone else is kinda in the middle of the pack. I haven't played Davon in years, but he was definitely elite back in the ps2 days.

I truly can't judge SCZeus or Flawless until I play them.

I simply can't call a guy elite until I play them and see what they have.

IMO, to be truly elite, you have to rely on more than just Madden money plays. You have to be a superior, diversified playcaller who doesn't just use the great Madden teams.

When I played Beer, I saw nothing but short passes. I'm sorry, but it's true. You can be bitchy all you want about that, but it's a fact.

You are not truly elite until your playcalling makes me cry like a baby.

While Mobb uses the Eagles, he always has and has always had a great record.

DSA has used the Raiders as long as I've known him and always been a .980 player.
the bold, I have pretty big wins over, although Zeus did avenge his loss by gettin me i think 38-28 last time. I hung in with DSA, right til the 4th 10-10, and I had plenty of long passes and deep routes, but something about your ridiculously highly raghly rated secondary, Jeff Garcia's noodle arm, and 71 ovr and under WR's made me SMART enough to not just toss it up.

        :laughing::laughing::laughing:

        Calm down.

You beat me by 10 and only because you added a meaningless FG when I had no timeouts in the 4th with under a minute to go. Wasn't it like the first day the game came out, too?

                  Like I said before.

Name 5 players in here that won 2 league titles.

Dsa,Korn,Spiderjunior,Izzy, I don't know who else. At one time we had 3 different leagues. People still couldn't win any league title.

I know Mobb is really good. I'm took a spanking by him this year. But damn can he win a league title before you put him second best player in VSN. If that case than buffalo bills and philadelphia eagles are top 3 in the hey day.

If I really want to. I could score 40 points a gm in here. But I dumb down my offense to only 60% capabablity. Because if I use my screen passes like I used to. I won't be stop period.
You're not in the top 5. Never were.

And look what's happening to you this year - everyone returns and you're a Bronx pinata.

Mason Crosby kicks the game-winning field goal vs. the Eagles Saturday.

                      Packers win in overtime

The Buddha (Packers) 10 Dave (Eagles) 7 OT

                      All-Madden, 6 mins

                      Game recap:
Mason Crosby's 46-yard FG clinched the overtime win for The Artist Formerly Known as FalconBuddha's Packers. It was a strange game with both teams getting defensive offence, but not scoring very much. Coach Dave was determined not to throw an interception in this game. Unfortunately, someone forgot to tell coach Dave that throwing the odd touchdown is not against the rules.
Solid game from Aaron Rodgers, though his TD pass still baffles coach Dave. "How could Driver be so open in man coverage vs. a decent corner like Sheldon Brown?" coach Dave asked. "That just seemed surreal."
Packers' receivers held on the ball. Eagles' receivers, for the most part, did not.
Packers did what few defences have done all year, shut down Jeremy Maclin. This was Maclin's first game at the top of the WR depth chart, so the kid may have been a bit nervous.

                      Scouting report on The Buddha:

                      A) Very conservative on offence
                      B) Needs to mix up his run game more and sub Jackson in more often. Straight ahead slams by Grant all game, almost always on 1st down, never on 2nd and longs, no pitch outs, sweeps, counters. Simply dives and slams. That ain't gonna cut it against the Eagles.
                      C) Loves his slot receiver James Jones, but after overusing him in the first half, decided to stop using him in the second ... I suspect he didn't want to cheese Jones.
                      D) Good passer, stays in the pocket. At times took reckless chances throwing when he was getting sacked, but it never hurt him.
                      E) Needs to get Jennings more involved in his offence
                      F) Manual player on D who is solid with the hit stick
                      G) On D, he tends to over commit to either the run or the pass. Quick audibles are you friends vs. The Buddha.

                      Note to The Buddha:
Do not use "Ask Madden" for field goals. That's why you got two holding penalties. I declined the OT FG penalty because I knew that's why it happened. That's how we roll in the Eagles Online Room.

                      Fight for the Fumble:

Buddha and I came up with an arrangement via AOL Messenger before the game. We agreed not to let FFTF ruin the game, so we did this - we agreed not to touch any buttons during FFTF if it came up. As expected, it didn't come up at all. LOL. Only fumble was an out of bounds fumble.

how come izzy always is like .500 or below .500 in the beginning of the year when everyone is playing, than when everyone gets bored and stops playing izzy magically finds his skills?

dont worry izzy, everyone will get bored soon and you can start winning again

                              first annual Turnover Bowl!

                              All-Madden, 7 minutes

                              Game recap:

NEW ORLEANS - The Philadelphia Eagles ended a long losing streak in the 1st Annual Turnover Bowl with a 24-14 win over NWSaint's New Orleans Saints.
A real up and down affair. Eagles jumped out to a 10-0 lead, thanks to Desean Jackson's 9-yard wildcat TD run, but then McNabb throws an INT and the Saints come marching back, heading to the half with a 14-10 lead.
Eagles rebounded in the second half thanks to a huge 95-yard WR TD by Jackson.
Coach Dave was happy with the play of his run game, especially considering most of it came out of the shotgun formation. Brian Westbrook finally had a big run day for the Birds, putting up 104 yards on 14 carries.
Akeem Jordan got the INT that sealed the win for a grateful coach Dave.

                              Scouting report on NWSaint:

                              A) Conservative on first downs, but a mad man every other down. (I mean that in the nicest way, Saint)
                              B) Uses many different formations, especially the 4WR set
                              C) Will occasionally run no huddle during a game, so if you don't match up personnel you could pay
                              D) On defence, he likes to play very aggressively, lots of blitzes, safeties up, bump and run
                              E) Just loves to pass the ball - and who can blame him with that offence.
                              F) Needs to use Reggie Bush more as an RB. He is letting Bush's speed go to waste. Same goes for Jeremy Shockey - Shockey is a mismatch against most LBs in man coverage. Saint has to take advantage of that.
                              G) Professor Saint is one of those guys who plays so differently than most guys at VSN. You feel like you're actually trying to match wits with him.
                              H) Uses all his receivers - and then some. Hell, even his #3 RB got in the action.

                              Player stats:

                              McNabb 12-18 218 2-3
