Game recap:

NEW ORLEANS - The Philadelphia Eagles ended a long losing streak in the 1st Annual Turnover Bowl with a 24-14 win over NWSaint's New Orleans Saints.
A real up and down affair. Eagles jumped out to a 10-0 lead, thanks to Desean Jackson's 9-yard wildcat TD run, but then McNabb throws an INT and the Saints come marching back, heading to the half with a 14-10 lead.
Eagles rebounded in the second half thanks to a huge 95-yard WR TD by Jackson.
Coach Dave was happy with the play of his run game, especially considering most of it came out of the shotgun formation. Brian Westbrook finally had a big run day for the Birds, putting up 104 yards on 14 carries.
Akeem Jordan got the INT that sealed the win for a grateful coach Dave.

Scouting report on NWSaint:
A) Conservative on first downs, but a mad man every other down. (I mean that in the nicest way, Saint)
B) Uses many different formations, especially the 4WR set
C) Will occasionally run no huddle during a game, so if you don't match up personnel you could pay
D) On defence, he likes to play very aggressively, lots of blitzes, safeties up, bump and run
E) Just loves to pass the ball - and who can blame him with that offence.
F) Needs to use Reggie Bush more as an RB. He is letting Bush's speed go to waste. Same goes for Jeremy Shockey - Shockey is a mismatch against most LBs in man coverage. Saint has to take advantage of that.
G) Professor Saint is one of those guys who plays so differently than most guys at VSN. You feel like you're actually trying to match wits with him.

Nice writeup.. your definetly a class-act and i'm glad we're still rollin' games after all these years.. I really liked that last breakdown (letter "G"), no one can ever really say that i'm mundane and run the same shyt repeatedly.. but yessss, I have learned to love to throw the rock.. gotta run it like the Saints do or it just doesn't feel right.. thanks for the game, we'll run it back soon.. and Dave, seriously, let's just try to run more than once a year.

Game recap:
At one point this game was 14-14 ... oh, the memories.
Another stellar performance from Donovan McNabb - 61 yards passing and 3 INTs. To be fair, Donovan is off the hook for the third INT. The coach slipped on his controller. "If this game ever gets voice recognition, you bastards are in trouble," said coach Dave to a throng of bewildered reporters.
"He's a very sexy, charismatic guy," said reporter Erin Andrews of coach Dave. "But he's a complete fruit loop. It wouldn't surprise me if it was that perv who taped me in the hotel room."
Coach Hass' Falcons had a great passing game - something the Birds simply couldn't stop.
A great day for Brian Westbrook - 130 yards on 7 carries. Too bad it felt like the Birds were never on offence. Westbrook added 41 yards receiving to the cause.
"I am sending Titans' coach BigHerm a box of cigars," said coach Dave, after the game. "The fucking Johnson cheeser was right - why the fuck shouldn't I use Westbrook?"
In a game against Hasselbeckfan, a guy like yours truly has to stay mistake-free. Sadly, that was not the case.


Reporter Erin Andrews gave coach Dave a supportive pat on the bum, then a slap in the face.

Scouting report on Hasselbeckfan:
A) Very good on the sticks - I figured this out on the first series. He's very hands on. Frankly, I find beating guys with his hand skills and good strategy nearly impossible to beat. I need my opponent to be weak in one of the two areas - he wasn't.
B) Diverse, diverse playcaller. Uses all his receivers, runs the ball a lot.
C) Very patient in the pocket.
D) Very, very aggressive on D. Loves to blitz, always has control of the middle of the field manually. An excellent pass defender, though the third INT had nothing to do with his skills
E) Over-commits his lineman. Has to learn to stop doing that. His run D needs a lot of work. I think it's a manual player thing - they tend to over-commit and run into other players
F) Good sportsmanship. Down 31-14 I punted on a long 4th down since I had no hope of winning. With 1:24 left, Hass made the old man happy by just kneeling. Thanks.

Hasselbeck has to stop using Seattle and start using better teams. This guy IMO is a very under the radar player who could crack the top 10 power rankings if he stops using Seattle.

Wish I could say my record is because of the Seahawks, I've been 50-50 in my team choice overall. I was really struggling on D for awhile but I've gotten better and am getting more comfortable controlling the MLB than I was in the beginning.

Dave, I'd just like to say that I LOVE the job you do on the writeups of all your Tracker Games. They are neat and they read well. Just like reading a magazine or Newspaper. I'm thinking of doing the same thing myself, but I don't want to step on toes, or take away from your Thread, since your the original.
I'd also like to play you in a Tracker if you get the time.

Dolphins stun Eagles in OT

Game recap:
PHILADELPHIA - Eric Green's 18-yard INT TD gave the Miami Dolphins a 29-23 overtime win over the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday in NFL action.
"It's on me," said quarterback Donovan McNabb after the game. "Terrell Owens was right - I am an overweight, out of shape fuckface who will never win a Super Bowl."
This may have been the strangest game of the Dave Tracker series ever. Frankly, it should have ended in a tie, but coach Dave is too stupid to let things end that way.
Dolphins came back from what seemed like an insurmountable 23-12 deficit.
"No lead is insurmountable vs. my Eagles. Just ask that little fag Strahanfan," said coach Dave. "If I can give up 29 points in a quarter vs. that weiner, why shouldn't Houtz make a comeback too."
Playing coach Houtz's Dolphins was like playing the real Dolphins - always a good thing.
Eagles' run game continues to improve, which pleases coach Dave.
"If we fix our turnover issue, we are going to be a solid team," said coach Dave. "I am about to put my offensive co-ordinator in a maximum security prison with a tag "I rape young children" on him. That should solve my issues."

Scouting report on Houtz:
A) Loves trying to be his Dolphins - you will see a ton of gadget plays, wildcat about 3-4 times a game.
B) From a strategic point of view, I felt he used Pat White too much. I am not complaining, I just feel by taking Pennington out, he's taking out the better player
C) Ronnie Brown is his wildcat QB most of the game, but he snuck White in there too.
D) Defensively, he uses New England's playbook and a ton of that 2-4-5, 1-5-5 stuff. It was a little unnerving to coach Dave, because he didn't expect it. First time he's faced it. IMO, he overuses it and it makes him weak vs. the run.
E) Persistent with the run, but not very good with it. Needs to vary his run game more - and like Buddha - remember to sub in his backup for a change of pace. Draws, sweeps and pitches work this year if you time them right.
F) Uses the hitstick a lot but really isn't a great manual player. OK, nothing special.
I like the way Houtz plays, because I felt like I was playing the Dolphins. I just didn't play good enough in the end to win.

Note to Houtz:
Sorry about choosing the all-white uniforms. Never even thought about it. My bad.
Sorry about the two beer pee pauses - but you knew the risk.

Note to future opponents:
I don't play similar uniforms. If I or you accidentally choose a white uniform vs. a white uniform, I will quit immediately and get you or I to re-challenge.

Love the scouting report. I will say the only thing you're wrong about is the run game. You, Tim and Krul are the only guys that have been able to stop it. I usually don't give up on it but losing to the Eagles who I had absolutely no answer for, I had to whip out the passing game.

Great game man.

Sorry, but I felt your run game was way too vanilla. All slam and dive (maybe the odd sweep, but nothing I remember).
Maybe I have a great run D, who knows, but I felt your run O was a serious weakness.
I love your consistency trying to make it work, but IMO it's the weakest part of your game.

Or I could be playing mind games.

No you're absolutely right. I had a mediocre run game against you. Unfortunately, you can't see what I've done in my other games to get a general feel for how well I run the football. Maybe next time we play I'll have more success.

I know. 27 INTs and my pass D sucks too. Every game I am going in with the mindset - don't throw a pick, don't throw a pick, don't throw a pick. Sure enough, I throw a pick (or five).

Thankfully, I've done a wonderful job rebuilding my run game.
