Guys, the deadline for round 1 games is this Saturday at midnight. PLEASE get your games in. People will be advanced for trying to get their games in if their opponent has made no/little attempt in getting their games in. I don't want to have to just advance anyone, I want the games played. If you can't get them in you should have never signed up and will not be allowed in future tourneys.

I played AJayJay and was disconnected both times.

The first time I scored 8 on my first drive, then I got big sack my first play on Defense he threw a pass on 3rd and 15 and his receiver caught it out of bounds. Then the came was disconnected in the first.

The next game, he got the ball first and put up 3, I got the ball and I he was doing a good job on D limiting my yards. I think it was 3rd and long and the game got disconnected again.

Yeah thats pretty much what happened. And I don't wanna start anything here because I have no problem playing freestyle but this tourney says sim and thats what I wanted to play going into this thing. Next time just read the rules man.

Been running these over at MM since Madden dropped this year. The brackets will be done tough bracketmaker and posted once sign ups are completed. It will be an 8 man tourney. I want solid, dedicated players. NOT people that just want to be in a tourney, but people that will get their games in, on time, with no problem. If this is not you, then don't bother signing up. First 8 to sign up will conclude sign ups. It is a SIM style tourney, you can use any team you want in any round. 6min, All Madden. I would like to get a round a week in, until there is the final 4, then I'd like to complete that in a few days. Getting games in quickly is key here, so people do not lose interest.

Obviously the gap between Sim and freestyle is alot smaller this year than in madden '08. That's why it's harder for me to tell the difference.

Remember I'm not trying to start a argument I really want to know he answers.

I can definitely change my gamestyle for this tourney if needed.

Oh yeah I forgot about the 2 pt conversion, I only do it because I'm real good at them, I can easily go without them though.

I only run the no hurry up offense because 95% of the time I call plays that I can audible to at any time. There's no point going to the playcall screen and waiting for my opponent, when I can call the play from the field, that way I don't have to wait on my opponent to call a play, it saves alot of time.
I don't do it to throw off my opponent, there's no strategy behind it. I can also easily take that out.

I have to admit having Fred Taylor at FB is a big part of my gameplan, he and MJD are both real good RB's and it would be stupid to leave one of them on the bench. But if you really want I can take him out also. Greg Jones is a real good runner, he lacks the speed Fred Taylor has but He's still a good FB.

I highly doubt we'll get to play again but if we do I'll follow these rules.


P.S.-That deep TD I had was pure luck, I pushed the wrong button and then once I saw the pass I thought you were going to pick it off, you misjudge the distance and I was surprised I turned back around to catch it.

Thanks for working this out guys. And houstonboy audibleing every play like that is not allowed. Just follow these simple rules and you will be good.

Finch wins 21-17, lamo though. Flips his play every play for some reason. Run 4 plays or so on offense but runs um well. Runs the clock down alot. gg

It seems like I ran the clock because I ran it down your throat. Anytime Reggie Bush gets 100 yards in between the tackles thats the defense not putting eight guys in the block. Stop the run we wouldn't be having the conversation. Good game though.
