MW2 glitchers to be banned - patch coming

Director of Policy and Enforcement for Xbox LIVE Stephen Toulouse stated anyone who tries to execute the "javelin glitch" in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is susceptible to a Xbox LIVE account suspension.

The glitch allows players carrying a rocket launcher to explode in a fiery blaze, killing a large group of opponents in the area.

Toulouse added the suspensions typically last 24 hours for first offenders, but can go as high as two weeks or more if you've been caught before. He also went on to clarify that suspending cheaters on Xbox LIVE through glitching is not new and not specific to Modern Warfare 2.

Infinity Ward Community Manger Robert Bowling, meanwhile, stated the developer is working on releasing a new title update to fix many gameplay issues for the game, which he says will be a "big one."

The update will be available on all platforms.

i didnt know of the javelin glitch until last night when a guy was using it on 2 maps in HC HQ. This guys sucked balls hard. everytime he would get shot, his javelin would immediately kill the shooter and any of his teammates that were near the shooter. the guy went 20-25 meaning 20 of his kills cam from 20 of his deaths.....which means he didnt actually kill anyone himself.

this glitch is annoying as fuck though. sniping him from long range would get you killed and being close meant possibly killing your teammates...hope they ban this fucker and anyone else who uses it

I got a multikill x6 in headquarters. :o

A lot of the time I would go 57-25, 46-24, even went 62-43 once lol. The guy you played Maynard just sucked at executing the glitch. I'd also get a lot of knife kills though.

If they're fixing this, fix the sentryguns in columns on underpass glitch, and tone down the akimbo shotguns.

I love it when people using the dual shotguns brag and think they are good because of it :laugh:

yeah this guy just sucked and based his entire game on the glitch. i dont mind people using a glitch for fun, but we asked him nicely to not use it in the next game because the match was competitive and his teammates even asked him. but like a dick, he did it again.
