Bout fuggin time. I DL the GRAW 2 from XBL and had some fun playing that again. GRAW 2 goes down as one of my favorites of all time. So this is very welcomed news to for me. At the Ubisoft boards, people knew another would come out, but nobody knew when and what....so this helps a little.
Was gonna buy Conviction anyway, but now with Beta for GR-FS, Conviction is a must.Comment

GRAW = trash.
Ghost Recon and Ghost Recon Island thunder on XB1 were 10000x better than that gimped clunky trash.
And even those were gimped from PC versions.
The maps and squad commands , and your ability to swap between guys within each squad made GR a unique experience.
GRAW is what happens when Rainbow Six and Call of Duty have sex then abort the baby 6 months in.
Unless youve played those old ones its hard to know what youre missing.Best reason to have a license.

But Medal of Honor is going modern as well and a completely new developing team for EA is making it.Comment

I'd like to see them get back to their original titles when they were actually somewhat realistic. But, with the popularity of arcade games like CoD I know that won't happen.Comment

I played Island Thunder, but had no XBL, so I dont know what the online was like. I was terrible at it. And I didn't really understand what I was supposed to do. It was probably one of, if not the, first realistic shooters I had played.
But, GRAW was hardly garbage. It may have ditched a lot of what the early adopters of the franchise loved, but it wasn't a bad game at all. Especially being one of the pioneer shooters on the new consoles. The "futuristic" take on the game was unique and done well.
What I imagine, is a 4 player experience. 4 Players in a squad working together to complete a mission(s). Stealth, Full-force, or tactical entry. That kind of thing is what I want and hope to see. We'll see what Ubisoft chooses to do. A full SP story, and then a really good Multiplayer. There hasn't been much to choose from in the third person department on 360.
EDIT: By 4 player I meant 4 actual cooperative players. A.I. or human controlled.Last edited by Tengo Juego; 02-10-2010, 11:35 PM.Comment

Easily one of the most disappointing things for me when I went "next-gen."
Back on XB1, GR was more or less Rainbow Six on a console (to me). Semi-realistic, big settings, one shot-one kill. Get some guys to play a little coop and terrorist hunt. Good shit.
Besides the fact that the Tom Clancy games are just re-using old PC maps (and, now, last-gen maps) they made everything smaller (but made the characters bigger) and added health meters.
Ghost Recon was a large scale, realistic (ish) shooter based on the out-doors. Rainbow Six was a smaller, tactical and had a lot of indoors fighting, but still dealt in reality.
Now, they are just generic FPS recycling maps I've played...and with crappier graphics.Comment
