Lost my first match of the season against Spurs 3-1. Had some positives, but quite a few negatives. We gave the ball away far too often.

I lost mine in Anfield 1-0 because of a David N'Gog header in the 89th minute. It was devastating.

I'm trying to figure out if something is wrong with my save, I resigned from Leverkusen after another German Cup, Bundesliga championship, and quarterfinal appearance in the Champion's League and now every single team I apply to returns and unsuccessful attempt... Brazil accepted me for a job, but it is sitting at application instead of putting me in as their manager. I think this has something to do with the un-patched save not being able to be hired at National teams, but has accepting the Brazil job keeping my applications from being successful?

Got sacked by Blackpool after I got them relegated. *sigh*

As such, I decided to start up with Liverpool, just cause the newest transfer update I got switched the ownership from Hicks to John Henry and the NESV, granted it was obviously premature and may not even actually happen, but we'll go with it for now. They've given me a transfer budget of £20m, and the debts have all been wiped out.

I got patch 10.3, it seemed under the no patch that referees called offsides almost every goal, even when it blatantly wasn't, and now they've changed it. All I can say is, thank god.

I restarted with Feirense in Liga Vitalis, and won it pretty easily, mostly on free transfers. However, now I'm in Sagres with a terrible financial situation (they gave 300,000 euros in transfer budget, and only 15,000 in wage budgets which I reconfigured to 300,000 and 30,000 after some transfers). I'm hoping I can somehow craft a mid-table finish. It doesn't help that they have an un-expandable 1100 seat stadium. How do they expect to not lose money?

Meh, Ruud is good, but FM is all about getting the young players, especially when their contract has that ridiculous of a salary.. Good players are people like Diego Buonanotte.

The downside to younger players is that they often don't have the mental stats you'd like. They don't play at a high level match in and match as a result.

For most teams, but Chelsea can buy up anyone he wants. Why get a 33 year old striker on 9 million dollar a year salary?

Because it's RVN. He's approaching the end of a contract with Madrid, so it's likely he's not going to be paying that much a year for him anyway.

Also he's a top notch poacher, if that's what you're looking for. He'd slot in perfectly in my system. His mental stats ensure he'll play better than most other poachers you could find. Not to mention he'd make an excellent tutor for the younger players, and for only 2.3 mill that's really not that much. Sure he's Chelsea and he can buy just about whomever he wants, but for only 2.3 mill I'd be hard pressed to find a better option.

I also imagine RVN has a high reputation on the game, or at least he should, that also often helps, it'll boost income. The bottom line is, you could find a ton of other younger poachers in the game with attacking attributes just as good, but you'll pay a heck of a lot more, and they won't have the mental attributes. I think that's a part of the game a lot of guys overlook.

Yeah, I probably am biased, as well. I tend to go for young players, lots of flair, high paced, up tempo attacking game. And while he's a good finisher, he's too slow to fit into my systems.
