I noticed this game on the Arcade yesterday but hadn't heard anything about it. Shipwreck from CAG gave it a "Very Good" review.

Oh, fuck me. In before Leaf and others comment about how the ads aren't even bad, yet every gaming outlet on Earth says they are the WORST. And now they are only going to somehow up the ante of terrible. But the only people we have to thank are the clowns that have bought that piece of crap. The more people that buy it the more MS is going to "support" it.

By the way, Jonathan Blow is now my favorite indie developer. The same guy that created Braid was a guest on Giant Bomb's E3 Day Zero podcast from a few weeks ago. They also had two guys from MS marketing and systems, one of which is behind the whole Kinect push. I figured Blow was a big MS fan considering they gave him his first break and thought the whole episode was going to be a big MS knob slob. Boy was I wrong. Blow did nothing but shit on the Kinect (except for a few times where he commended the hacking community for ides they have come up with) and talk about how utterly awful and strict MS's certification process is for games and updates. I knew that already but listening to an actual developer talk about it was refreshing. At one point he even said "I know I wouldn't have any of these problems putting a game up on Sony's PSN." I have a feeling his next big game might be a Sony exclusive. He just kept talking how there is just so much more freedom on PSN. It was hilarious listening to the two Xbox shills defend MS's policies just to have Blow prove them wrong every time.

I highly recommend everyone but Leaf, Stevsta, Grif and maybe a few others give it a listen.

Ugh. at overpriced downloadable games. So this is basically ONE mode from the original game and it's $15?!? Considering that I'm pretty sure the full game sold horribly, are these guys off their respective rockers?

Get Trenched! This game is fun as hell, super deep, and has 4-player campaign co-op. Worth $15, I'd say.

Get Trenched! This game is fun as hell, super deep, and has 4-player campaign co-op. Worth $15, I'd say.

I don't like RTS's at all and I know that game has a good amount of that in it.

It honestly isn't what you think. The RTS portion is VERY dumbed down. It's as easy as pushing two buttons to drop an emplacement.

It's really fun so far and the co-op is supposed to be the real draw with it. TONS of customization so far as well.

Is it a full-on RTS? I love RTS games, but the fact that I now own a Mac as my primary computer precludes me from playing some of the more recent ones, so I'd love to find a new one. Oh, and I do refuse to play Supreme Commander on the 360......I'd rather wait to upgrade my PC for The Old Republic or not even play it at all.

No. You control a mech and drop turrets around the battlefield to assist you. 4-player co-op campaign over Xbox Live though, which is supposed to be really fun.
