i saw that too. But he did go on to say that awareness doesnt control those ratings because there are other ratings built in to control that stuff...like route running, zone/man coverage and blocking.

i played OSU at Miami with the pass coverage at 35. Weird results considering the change. Miami completed less than 40% of their passes.
For me going from 75 down to 35 didnt make it any easier to pass the ball. It did provide me with fair DB play, meaning no mirroring....but as a team defense they still played very well
the CPU is what baffles me. with the setting at 40 they were up around 57% or higher. i lower it to 35 and it seemed like they couldnt find anyone open. Miami QB (Jacory Harris a senior now 96 overall, 94power, 90accuracy) is a great QB with excellent WR. I wasnt able to get pressure until they went pass happy in the 4th so i dont know what the problem wasComment

i played OSU at Miami with the pass coverage at 35. Weird results considering the change. Miami completed less than 40% of their passes.

Haven't noticced that being a problem.
I've noticed that problem big time on Heisman. Not so much on other modes though. A lot of this can depend on how high you have certain sliders set like pass coverage and rush defense. If those sliders are set too high then the defense doesn't read and react to the play, they just mirror the play/know it. It sucks bu tnot sure what your sliders are set at so this could be an issue.Comment

Another thing, why do they constantly change the button layouts and menu setups? Every year we have to "relearn" what each button does.
And the roster/stat menus were much simpler the old way.

i have to disagree about the crowds going silent. i have never heard any crowd go silent like they do in madden. Even when beating a cupcake team in their stadium in the 4th by 42 point they still make that roar in between plays and during the plays
the comparison to madden is especially bad because in madden the sound is muted in between plays. I mean u hear absolutely nothing.Comment

This tuning set is a step in the right direction but it doesn't actually solve any problems, it just reduces the impact of existing problems a little bit.
Some things are still broken. Ex: The tuner set was supposed to stop teams from stockpiling players at certain positions. It doesn't. In year 6 a lot of teams have 5 or 6+ QBs on their roster. North Texas has 8 QBs.
It's supposed to help solve the issue with teams all regressing as the dynasty goes on. It doesn't. Year 6 there's only 2 teams above A- (compared to 12 on the default roster) and 14 D- teams (compared to 0 on the default roster).
It's better than things were before but still far off from what it should be.Comment

if ever team that was supposed to play competitively did so, i would be very happy. Just played OSU at Nebraska in week 4. I won on a FG as time ran out. It was an excellent, well played game.
i used the sliders i posted on the previous page with both sides using 35 for pass cover. CPU only had 6 in-completions, but after miami went 40% i will take it. It was honest so i cant complain.

one thing i wanted to mention were the penalties. 3 for me and 4 for them. I had been using whats posted below with holding at 55. It always felt like the CPU was getting called for holding at the worst possible time. It felt unfair to me so i lowered holding to 50 and was surprised to still see 3 called total for the game. got some false start, clipping and facemask too.
