is this now the canon? I knew Mortal Kombat to have one general direction (really stopped paying attention after MK3) and this just kind of fucks everything up. Is everyone dead? Sub Zero's now a fucking robot?

I think this is the way it was supposed to be. the only MAJOR change in this story from the original was that Sub-Zero, not Smoke, gets caught and is turned into a cyborg. I'm not sure how MK3 actually ended, but it explains why in MK4 there were VERY few of the people from mk3 in that game. Either way, I feel they're trying to rewrite the story without many changes.

Rayman, another thing toconsider is that

 

this is all in a sort of "alternative arc", where Raiden actually WENT BACK in time to try to stop all of the shit that happened that happened. So, it's very possible that while MK1-3 actually happened, this is just an "alternative" to what happened since Raiden went back in time.

My general impression of him: Holy shit he's god-tier. if you can control that bubble like I think you can, that combined with his juggle-causing lightning puts him over the motherfucking edge.

He was god-tier in MK Trilogy, too. He's my favorite already.

So who's the next DLC after Rain? I heard a rumor it might be Frost or maybe Reiko. Shit, give me both of them plus Tanya, and I'll be one happy mfer.
