    Is PS3 the choice here?

    Just curious.

If I get the game, I want to get it on the console where most of you knuckleheads are playing.

    I don't care either way.

And if your using R1 or R2 for gas, u are trying to support the controller so you can make sure you have the button totally pushed in....which makes using the face buttons extremely difficult.

luckily NFS makes up for this downfall by allowing u to completely modify the control scheme. i put gas and brake to the right stick so i could play.
      Exaggerate much?

It's funny how most of the guys playing on PS3, myself included, also own 360's and we have no problems with the controller whatsoever for this game.

As far as racing games go usually the triggers on the PS3 are the downfall but it's really inconsequential with arcade racers like this. Because feathering the gas and brakes doesn't really account for shit, especially when you can drift for hundreds of yards around a sharp turn with ease. But even with sim racers like GT5 you could pay $5 for the trigger attachments that work great.

Once krul and wings get it we will have eight I players on PS3 I believe. I think the only 360 players are JMS, tigstah and if Maynard gets it because the 360 controller is so much more awesome. But JMS and Tigstah also mentioned that they might also pick up the PS3 copy from one of the Black Friday sales. Garrett will probably get the PS3 version as soon as he gets a chance. Plus I have a few "real" friends and guys from other sites that play the game consistently.

Oh, and I'm level 11 as both a cop and racer. I'm a cop sergeant. It's probably the only way I will ever make sergeant. LOL.

I am probably not going to pick it up via Black Friday.....I dont feel like plowing through again. Plus with GT5 here I am plenty happy with my racing games. Look forward to Dirt 3!

whose exaggerating? what i said is 100% accurate. you just confirmed it. your bolded statement is precisely the point. Feathering in this game is pointless so you just need to hold down the button of choice to keep the throttle to the floor.

But the ps3 design is shit and forces you to keep the buttons mashed in order to keep the throttle to the floor. trying to hold in the triggers while using nitro or hand brake is a pain in the ass

why would anyone want to pay money for an add on to make the controller work great? u could just play the 360 version instead

What in the ever loving fuck are you talking about? You are completely contradicting yourself.

Like I said (and you said) all you have to do is keep the gas pedal mashed in this game and hit the brake when drifting in turns. You would do the exact same thing on the 360 controller. You hit the X button to use boost. You hit square to handbrake. How is that difficult at all?!? Are you honestly telling me you can't hold R2 with your right index finger and press X or square with your thumb??? How is that different than holding RT and pressing A or X on the 360 pad?

Just picked up the Limited Edition for $37.99 at K-Mart....let's do it.

EDIT- won my first two races, first one I was trailing the whole time and hit the nitrous right at the end to win it haha, I'm WAY behind Twigg's times though, 17+ seconds on each right now....still trying to get the hang of drifting and braking.

the difference is that on the ps3 controller its a pain in the ass. on the 360 controller its not. holding the bumper or trigger on the 360 is something a person can do relaxed and gently. on the ps3 u literally have to mash the button down to keep it pressed

i dont know why its so hard for you to comprehend what i am saying. u even posted that the trigger design is flawed. yet u will go on and on trying to argue with me about my opinion on the controller. nobody else commented on it except you

i picked up the 360 version today. tigstah im gonna add u....if anyone else wants to add me on 360 my GT is maynard46

or post your GT and i will add u

sidenote. EA also made road rash. if they took this game and slapped motorcycles on it with the ability to punch, kick or swing a bat...then maybe added a purchase system for buying new bikes u would have a next gen road rash game. and that would be joy

I didn't say it was "flawed". Basically it's not as intuitive as the 360 controllers triggers, Mostly because of the contour design as oppsed to the convex one of the 360. This can be easily fixed with a $5 set of triggers. But those aren't even needed/recommended for a game like this.

360 or PS3, you are jamming on the trigger no matter what. There is no in between. That is the point I'm making and one that you don't seem to understand. And there is no way it's any less comfortable. I played both demos and it's exactly the same.

If it were possible you could play this game with a fucking Gamecube controller and it wouldn't make a lick of difference.

Yet again you are just trying to nitpick something that doesn't even exist.
