But if you want more proof every one of those games has over an 80 on Metacritic. So between reviews and sales I think it's easy to say they are quality games. To say "no one gives a shit about them" it's a fucking joke. But the mere fact alone that these games sell millions means OBVIOUSLY someone cares about them.
But here are the scores anyway.
LBP=95
In LittleBigPlanet Players meet on a blue and green planet scattered with individual plots – and use their character's amazing abilities to play, create and share what they build with other gamers throughout the world via the Playstation Network. The LittleBigPlanet experience starts with players learning about their character’s powers to interact physically with the environment. There are places to explore, creative resources to collect and puzzles to solve – all requiring a combination of brains and collaborative teamwork. As soon as players begin their creative skills will grow and they will soon be ready to start creating and modifying their surroundings – the first step to sharing them with the whole community.Characters have the power to move anything in this glued and stitched-together 3D landscape; they have the power to design, shape and build both objects and entire locations for others to view and play. There’s no complicated level editor; all of these skills can be learned by simply playing the game. Creativity is part of the gameplay experience and playing is part of the creative experience. Players can make their world as open or as secretive to explore as they like. When it’s ready, they can invite anyone within the LittleBigPlanet community to come and explore their patch – or can go and explore everybody else's. [SCEA]
Killzone 2=91

Assuming the role of Sev, a battle-hardened veteran and a member of the special forces unit known as the Legion, players lead a group of highly trained soldiers on a mission to take out the Helghast threat. For Sev and his squad, the invasion of Helghan is just the beginning. Tasked with securing Pyrrhus, the Capital City, the team quickly discovers that the Helghast are a formidable enemy on their home planet. Not only have they adjusted to the planet's hostile conditions, they have also harnessed a source of power they can now use against the ISA. Sev discovers his squad isn't just fighting enemy forces – their fiercest opponent may be the planet itself. [Sony]
MotorStorm=84

Choose from seven vehicle types, from high-flying dirt bikes to powerful big rigs, and destroy anything that gets in your way in a no-holds barred sprint to the finish. Try and survive. Real-Time Deforming Terrain: The terrain literally gets torn up with each passing vehicle, causing each lap to be different. Advanced particle effects cause debris and muck to "stick" to each vehicle. Vehicular Combat and Damage: Destroy anything that gets in your way. Smash your opponents and view spectacular Hollywood-style crash sequences. [SCEE] Editor's Note: This JPN Import Version title lacks multiplayer, which has had an effect on just about every import review.
MotorStorm:PR=82
The brutal offroad racing festival is back, with players this time attempting to tackle the diversity and unpredictability of a remote Pacific island environment. MotorStorm: Pacific Rift revisits the intense racing action introduced in last year's MotorStorm, this time allowing players to navigate a radically different tropical environment chock full of lush jungle, towering peaks, and crystal-clear water. Players experience a greater selection of tracks and vehicles to choose, as well as extensive multiplayer options including four player split screen and races with up to 20 players online. Additionally players can utilize a new photo mode to save images within the game and for the first time be able to take music from their PS3's HDD to create a customized soundtrack. [Sony]

Insomniac Games has combined its passion for creating exotic weapons and vehicles with a proprietary physics system to create a unique human and alien arsenal. [SCEA]
Resistance 2=87
After a valiant struggle to stop the Chimera invasion in Europe, mankind must make its last stand on the shores of the United States. Resistance 2 places players in the heroic role of Sgt. Nathan Hale as he struggles against overwhelming odds to defend mankind from the unstoppable Chimera. While wrestling with this insidious war machine, Hale must also battle the virus raging inside of his own body that threatens to transform him into the very creatures he fights against. The user scores and complete lack of impact on the industry speak volumes about those games.
Even Madden 10/11 sold millions and got 85+ on MetaCritic.
Compared to the GOW , Halo , COD taking turns ass raping sales records those games are not worth hyping.
Do any of those games even remotely have the sustained online communities the above franchises have ?
Angry Pigs would likely make more impact than any of the titles posted would.Best reason to have a license.

If anyone gave two cruds about them PS3 wouldn't have suffered the way it did.

"Complete lack of impact"? Yeah, you're right, none of those games have left an impact on gaming at all. I guess Halo or your beloved GoW haven't impacted it either?Comment

You are clueless. Have you ever actually checked the uses scores on Metacritic. The reason they are so low is because fanboys from either side go in and post 0 or 1/10 ratings. It;s like that with any console exclusive.

You still didnt answer the question. Did or do any of those games have the online communities the games I mentioned had ? I really dont know , i dont think the numbers begin to compare.
Its like comparing a Palm Pre to iPhone 4 you cant point to a million reviews but seriously Im talking about anticipation and desire for upcoming games. You can harp all you want but those games are mostly sequels to other games that were hyped for no reason. Heck you could say KZ2 was the biggest flop this console gen. The amount of promise and hype given to it and what it actually delivered were worlds apart.
PS3 is in the position its in because most of those titles simply were enough to draw attention.Best reason to have a license.

lol @ that list btw. Most of them are fairly mediocre titles that were hyped by starved PS3 gamers (resistance lol). The only worthy upcoming games on that list are infamous 2 socom 4 and uncharted 3.

When you said KZ2 the only thing I could think of was Dj's thread on MM with the title about KZ2 and how the trailer was real from the game. Later on we found it was just a cutscene to a fairly meh game.

I think Killzone doesn't get enough credit for being an upper-echelon FPS. I only played a little of KZ2 at a friend's house, but it was gorgeous and I certainly enjoyed it more than CoD.Comment

As a 360 gamer, I wish we were getting LBP2, KZ3, and Twisted Metal (along with the 3 you mentioned).

Twisted Metal though I missed and should be included. I used to play that shit back in the day on my PS1. That game and Gran Turismo 2 were the reason my PS1 went in for its second laser replacement.
Killzone didn't impress me but I'm over critical of FPSs these days.

As for Killzone, which FPS games do it better? I really like BFBC2, but other than that I have a hard time coming up with any.Comment
