One of the things he mentioned to defend his argument was that the CoD games had "great stories". LOL. COD: MW series has a pretty good storyline. I never played BF: BC so I don't know about theirs, but I heard it's pretty lacking.

I honestly don't care about the other COD games like WaW and BO. But, you can't shit on the story writing of the MW series.

You over estimate the online community. Majority of people who buy/play the game don't even touch the online portion of a game.

BF3 SP definitely looks pretty sweet, but the MP seems dry again. Red Orchestra 2 will have a better MP experience, hands down. Nuclear Dawn is showing a lot of promise as well. It's a shame that these large studios have been so complacent with their online gaming while independent studios easily surpass them.

For once I'd like to see a realistic approach to online play for these mil-shooters, from a mainstream developer, or at least a more in-depth experience.

They are both boring as fuck and unless you're hardcore/part of a group who actively play them on PC, you'll be better off with an arcade shooter.

I have ArmA 2 already and like it, but I wouldn't consider them mainstream compared to cod and BF. To me if they're not going to make the games realistic, at least add some depth. A Global Agenda style clan system where you're battling for territory would be sweet in a military FPS. Instead, we're left with the same TDM and other basic shit every release.
