Why would they even include that in a shooter? That's the very first thing I did after downloading the beta...turned that shit off! I don't care if everyone else does use it. I don't want that type of crutch and want to feel like I'm actually the one playing the game and not the CPU.

Because consoles (well the sticks) are probably the worst thing when it comes to aiming and having aim assist on consoles just makes sense.

Its funny that jeremy complained about the PC side having better hardware and it being too precise when on the console side its so terrible that they have to have an auto assist on just to help make up for the terrible accuracy controllers have.

True, but like Jeremy said, that's one of the reasons I find it more challenging to play shooters on a console even though the mouse/keyboard setup is much more precise.

I haven't played a shooter on PC in a looooong time. Unreal Tournament was the last one I played on a PC.

Did they include 'aim assist' in the PC version of BF3, and if so, why would they? Did they do it in any of the previous games as well?
