    25 New Plays - Play #13

I-Form Twin TE Badger Power – A staple of the Wisconsin power running game, I-Form Twin TE Badger Power is a play that combines elements of both a counter and power play. The Badgers like to send the wing tight end in motion to the weak side and at the snap he becomes the second “puller” on the play. Factor in the fullback and Wisconsin can get three lead blockers at the point of attack.

Being the best current gen football game is nothing to brag about when EA is basically the only company making football games. I mean what is NCAA 11's competition for best current gen game? Backbreaker? NCAA10? All Pro Football? Madden?

Your original post expressed a complaint in the neglect to the series' gameplay and real football features as opposed to the "bells and whistles" casual gamers pick up games for. I was simply stating that NCAA 11 saw drastic improvements in gameplay and felt like real football as much as any football game has for some time. Your complaints come without merit if you can't admit that.

          25 New Plays - Play #14

Nickel 2-4-5 Cover 3 Bluff – The complimentary play to the Nickel 2-4-5 Slant Zone 2, the Nickel 2-4-5 Cover 3 Bluff uses the exact same pre-snap movement by the linebackers, defensive tackles, and nickel cornerback. This scheme falls in line with what’s known as an “illusion” defense. The defense gives the offense the appearance of an all out blitz with the exotic look, but in reality it’s a basic 3 deep, 4 under zone coverage.

            25 New Plays - Play #26

Nickel 2-2 Patriot Bluff Blitz Bonanza - Similar to Bill Belichick's defenses in New England, here the players don't have defined positions. They line up in random spots on the field to confuse the offense. Further confusion is caused when 7 of the players remain on the sideline, with only 4 on the field. The players have the option to either blitz or cover, depending on their mood.

I've never played NCAA 10 so I can't compare NCAA 11 to it. Last NCAA I played before 11 was 06, and gameplay wise it isn't the jump I'd expect to see over 5 years. The gameplay in 11 is really suspect, if that's a drastic improvement over NCAA 10 I'm glad I never played that game.

It doesn't make my complaints have any less merit, either the gameplay is realistic or it isn't. I'm not gonna congratulate EA for making the "most realistic" football game this gen when they essentially make the only football game this gen.

                25 New Plays - Play #15

Shotgun Trio HB Wk PA Husker Y Post –Nebraska’s offense is known for generating big plays in the running game. To compliment their explosive rushing attack the Huskers will often use play action passes. Shotgun Trio HB Wk PA Husker Y Post is a play Nebraska uses with great success for getting the ball deep down the field to their tight end for a touchdown.

                    25 New Plays - Play #16

Shotgun Normal Flex Ark HB Wheel – Shotgun Normal Flex Ark HB Wheel should be a familiar play to the fans of Arkansas. This is the same play the Hogs used to score a touchdown on the third play of the game against Alabama last season. The concept known as “Shark” in the Arkansas terminology uses a shallow cross/dig combination in the middle of the field and a post/wheel combination on the outside.

Improvement is improvement man. Did you bitch this much when Techmo Bowl or Madden '92 came out? It's a video game and it is making progress. Jesus.

Aside from suspect play calling and broken defensive backfield AI the game isn't that unrealistic.

Dime 3-2-6 Spinner Buck Dog 1 – An aggressive blitz pressure scheme that’s used by teams such as LSU and Nebraska, Dime 3-2-6 Spinner Buck Dog 1 is a good play to use in passing situations. The play uses a six man pass rush which includes the right cornerback. This concept along with reference material was provided to us through community feedback
