The Jet Sweep by Auburn was a good indication to see that the suction was gone. The LB that was shooting the gap wasn't quick enough and the HB got through into open field. We all know that the LB would have sucked right into the tackle on NCAA 11

Yep, they said earlier in the blogs that suction blocked was virtually gone.

So, due to the limitations being put on us (not able to change the number of teams or delete conferences), I did a dramatic re-imagining of a conference set-up today, looking for some thoughts.

13 divisions, nine teams per division. Everyone plays an eight-game conference schedule, so no conference championships.

I did some slight renaming to the conferences as well (even though I know I won't be able to do this in game). The PAC-12 is just the PAC, the Mountain West is the Big West Conference, the Big XII is the Southwest Conference, the Big Ten is the Big North, the Big East is the Northeast Conference (NEC), the ACC is now the Big East, and the two new conference additions are the Great Lakes Conference, and the Midwest Conference. The three military schools are still the three independents.

Seven conference champions will automatically qualify for a BCS bowl, with the three remaining spots going to at-large bids. Those conference are : the PAC, Big West, SWC, SEC, Big North, NEC, and the Big East. That makes seven BCS conferences, and six non-BCS conferences.

This set up allows me to remove the three created schools I had planned on adding earlier to balance out my conferences in the west. Anyway, here's the layout. Let me know what you think:

          Code:
          Pacific Conference (PAC)

BIG 10/SEC OD is going to be the way to go this year. Most of the teams are 5-6 Star Prestige and both have conference championships.

Finally, I won't feel completely outathlete'd when I'm dropping bombs on random bums with SMU this year.

This looks really smooth man. I really like it. Are we for sure able to make conferences from scratch?

As far as everything I've seen so far, I couldn't be happier with on field stuff. The game seems to be looking phenomenal and playing well with the new momentum stuff... I guess I just expected a little more out of the year they supposedly focused most of their energy on Dynasty mode. I was holding out for a Spring game and perhaps some sortof team chemistry aspect, but neither look to be in. Oh well... I'm still excited for custom playbooks!

Sweet, I've been waiting for this to drop so I can fine-tune my conference changes.

It's hard for me to evaluate gameplay vidz without knowing what difficulty it is and how much sliders effect things. That being said the tackling animations don't seem that much different just from watching, but zone looks good.

There are only 11 conferences + independents.

I think the only people that say this kind of thing is someone that hasn't played in a while, or someone who didn't play NCAA 11 enough to notice the animations. I still play it regularly and every video I see something new that was changed. Mostly within the tackling and the suction being gone.

The changes are subtle. It's especially hard to notice the changes to suction blocking and tackling. It's one of those things where it will feel different when you get the controller in your hand.

As far as tackling animations go, were there any new ones added? Survivor is right about that, I think. They added the new dive catch animations and the new line animations and that was it, right?
