Finally got around to watching those long unedited gameplay vids. Have to say the new lighting in the game looks fantastic. Also nice to see they've added a bunch of facemasks they've been missing.

This feature came out of nowhere to become the most requested feature heading into the launch of NCAA Football 12. At this point all I can say is that this is something we are looking into.Comment

I asked this in the chatbox, but thought I'd ask here. I have never followed NCAA football. I've watched a few games on Saturday's if my dad has it on, but I couldn't tell you who was last years BSC champion or Heismen winner. So with that said, I do want to get a football game, and with NHL12 not coming out till September, and Madden being...well Madden, I thought NCAA might be fun.
Now being as I know shit about NCAA, is it hard as fuck to get into? I was told the recruiting is fun, and I like a good offline as well. Online I'd probably just play guys here to learn how to play. But am I going to be completely lost in what is going on, or is it fairly easy once you get into it.All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.
"rammer" and "cummings"
The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.Comment

Yeah so... what I said earlier about the tackling not looking improved was bullshit. These recent clips look phenomenal. I can't wait to play this game! I picked up a copy of Phil Steele's College Football Preview and scanned through it to get some familiarity on teams and I think I've settled on the teams I'll start playing with. I really like the Texas A&M combination of Ryan Tannehill and Cyrus Gray, and I also have a soft spot for Nick Foles and Juron Criner in Arizona. Oh and my shit team that I'll role with in an offline dynasty is gonna be Wyoming. Get ready for Coach Survivor's playbook boizzz.
What teams you guys planning on using?Comment

You don't need to know the teams that well because once you pick a team, its on YOU to recruit and make them how you want them to be. Once you learn how to play the game, you'll be good.Comment

Yeah, you can turn on computer assistance for the recruiting to help you for the first few seasons until you get the hang of it as well.Comment

I'm a lot more interested in the playbooks than the teams. I loved using the Run & Shoot PBs, Middle Tennessee, and Nevada last year. I want to see what Wisconsin and Oklahoma State have in their PBs this year. If they improved the mesh animations I might give the Flexbone another shot, but I'll be fine if I can run the read option from Pistol.
I really don't see myself fiddling with the custom playbooks.
