The patch has made it harder to score for me, for some reason. And my guys are again doing exactly the opposite of what I want them to do no matter what strategy I set them to. I out shot Chicago and had plenty of chances to score but couldn't punch it in, then he just skates down with one guy and puts some bullshit goal in.

I don't understand why my D-men just give up the zone and allow my opponent to skate in and stick the puck right in nabby's ass. Then when I skate with the puck I feel like I have every guy on the other team coming at me and blocking passes/shots, etc. Frustrating.

Yeah the patch did make some people to have to change their style of play. I had three penalties in a row at one point. Had a 5 on 3 and then another one. I've never had that many penalties in a game ever. Gotta be careful of the hits you put on

I'm not a fan of the patch at all...every poke check leads to a player taking a dive and a tripping penalty.

No offence, but good. And it isn't every poke check, but it will hurt guys who use the poke in an obsessive way *coughbigwillcough*

If you play proper hockey you won't be called for it. I use the poke check and stick lift when it is proper to use it and I don't get called, mostly because I am not sitting in my zone hammering the button trying to cause a turnover. Your guy shouldn't be in the zone looking like he is jacking off on his stick.

As I pointed out in the 360 patch thread, Leaf and I played games last night and it was just as hard hitting and physical as any other game we played. I had 31hits in the first period and I had two penalties or a little more, and all my calls were me doing it to show him the changes. But in our OTP game, I didn't take a single tripping call, or any interference calls. Leaf took 3 penalties but he will be the first to say he should have got them all.

This patch is starting to really get the proper hockey play back into this game. You can't sit there hammering the poke check button all day long. So many guys rely on that button and it just isn't realistic, and now the game is making you pay for it.
