you got 8 of them. most people only have 1 or 2.

u can only use 1 per game. so once you use it with that level 7 character, thats it for him until you start a new game...the loot will only be as good as your level.

having all those keys is kind of irreverent unless you plan to play through it many times

He can use all of them for that character if he wants.

that pic also shows the side quest i am on....can anyone help me with how get these samples? i found those pods, but no mutating samples. Do i have to inject them first, then shoot them to get the samples?

i knew there was a cheat for those keys, but i just looked for it today. its not even a cheat, u just edit a number in a setting file. i dont know how i feel about using them. i have only found 2 purple guns and 1 orange item. it would be nice to have more of the choice stuff to play with...but getting the cool loot is one of the great things about the game. But only 3 things in 16 levels....cmon, thats not enough

I saw Duval say that PC hack was patched now and that they planned no punishment for people that were using it. He said something like "if you have a cookie jar in front of you, can't blame those that want a cookie" lol

It wouldn't be rare loot if you got 1 great weapon/sheild/etc. per level. Just think how happy you are when you do get that rare item - you wouldn't have that feeling if you were picking up great stuff every hour or so. Do you want to replace that happy feeling with "eh, another purple item..."?

I can't see the pic (at work) but i assume you are handling the Varkids...You have to inject the pod as it is expanding (get near and it give you the option to inject) - The first time I did it I died twice from the Badass Varkid - I couldn't kill the thing 'cause the other little Varkids were getting me too. Finally figured i could lure them away from the nest and go one on one, seemed to work ok. And by the way, I HATE those flying things that launch from the town - pain in the ass - cost me the treasure on a loot goon......

After using about 40 keys i have come to the conclusion that MANY people will be extremely disappointed in the random loot they get. I also wish the game would give you a upgrade ability for your guns. Include an option to keep leveling up the weapon you love to use....i know the point is to keep changing it up, but i find a gun i like and want to keep using it.

anyways, here are pics. and keep in mind that i did get some things i really think are cool...but i also used over 40 keys to get them

If you come across a weapon with the "Slag" ability, it works wonders on non-mechanical and some lower-level robotic forces in the game.

After you coat your target in that purple shit, swap to another elemental-type weapon (fire or corrosive, IMO) and rip that fucker apart.

Since you pissed away those free keys at Level 16... OF COURSE YOU'RE GOING TO BE DISAPPOINTED.

Other than the Second Wind extension rate Relic, all of those items (barring color ranking and the one with Slag) can be found in the wild; or at least their equivalent.

Some of the shields in this games are BEAST. I had one that caused a corrosive nova to explode around me if my shield or health depleted. any time i went down and an enemy was around me I got a instant 2nd wind because the nova killed him.

The A.I. Core you find and can turn into either a shield or a Shotgun

...can scale to your level later on in the game.

I dig having a talking shield early-game but myself being Level 18-19 right now and it being Level 8 is no bueno.

that absorbs whatever previous element you were shot with and then subsquential negating, if not nulling then next damage of the same type

...is boss shit when wading through corrosives and flame using jerks.

which is why alot of people will be disappointed regardless of when you use a key....even if you wait until you are at the level cap you may still get the same crap, just scaled to your level

thank for emphasizing the point i was making...but to further the point....how are people gonna feel when they get a class mod for a class they dont even use?

Maybe it's because Jay is a loot whore, but I haven't seen much of anything close to what's in those pictures from regular loot drops at level 19, and I've only come across relics once so far.
