Who all has made it to Whimseyshire? I got there today...interesting, but disappointing altogether. Looks different from the rest of the game, for sure, but not really the payoff I was hoping for.

What does everyone's character and banner look like? I like to keep my banner up-to-date as to what I've recently done. Here's mine...

Just something...more. For as much as I'd heard about it, I was hoping for at least some special end "boss". I mean, there was an elite, so I guess that qualifies? IDK...it was interesting, at least.

the more i play this game the more i think its not that great. all you do is go into an area, hack and slash bad guys, pick up loot. everything is setup the same too. a very large area with 3 or 4 caves scattered in it. each one you go into is either a small little square area or a larger looping area with a level 1 and level 2 section. its an extremely repetitive game.

looting is boring because nothing you get is that great. 99% of what i find is salvaged. i avoid anything that isnt blue or yellow because anything else has no value. i forge anything i have but even that doesnt matter because nothing you make is anything more than a numeric value. is has no visual value cause you cant really see anything cool your guy is wearing.

im playing as a wizard. im up to level 22 now and i find the newly unlocked powers to be very disappointing. i still use the same powers i unlocked in the beginning of the game. i expect the powers to look cooler and be alot more powerful as i progress. this is not the case with the wizard class.

people will say cool shit comes in the 2nd and 3rd play through...well, i dont see how anyone can survive the repetitiveness of the game to make it through the first play through. the game is polished and the combat is fluid and fun....but the fun is wearing off because its the same thing over and over

Isn't this the true for previous Diablo games? I never played them, but have watched my brother a few times. Game just doesn't appeal to me.

This is fairly true. One of the bad parts of this game is there isn't as much uniquness to it compared to past diablo's.

I still really dislike how they removed the skill tree that used to exsist and how there were many different ways to create characters whereas now everyone seems to be the same. The rediculous amount of unique and rare items people are getting now too is really stupid. There used to be a time that a blue item would drop and you would be pumped and a yellow item was unheard of till later. Now they drop and you pretty much just store it till it gets salvaged.

I think them taking out the skill tree is an improvement imo since you could essentially fuck up your character in the 1st few levels and have to start over.

I don't know if it's actually possible to fuck up your character in the first few levels, if only because it's a PC game and if you truly screwed it up you could just download a trainer and "fix" it. Never really a need to start over. I played through D2 at least 20 times and I never fucked up a character or had to use a trainer.

I haven't played D3 yet because of my poor PC, but reading it definitely gives me the impression that leaf has. And reading about the abundance of drops also seems like they might as well make new colors for higher level shit, because if blue and yellow have become so prominent that there is really no reason to pick up anything else, what is the point? Granted, gray drops have always been super stupid in Diablo because there is never a remotely positive trade off. They're only useful for like the first 2 hours if that.

I think the real issue is that the legendary items often has worse stats than the lower levels drops...that really shouldn't be. Makes nabbing a legendary kinda mean nothing if you can find better stuff in a different color.

That was part of the enjoyment of it though and trying to different builds always gave you things to strive for.

Now all you do is just start a character and he's the same as everyone else (skill wise anyways)

People attempting to create ice only sorc's in D2 were usually pissed off at life by act 2 haha.
