Oklahoma was on probation for recruiting violations during those 2 years and never were given credit for having won a true national championship in those years. They were awesome in the 70s.

This series used to be my favorite sports games.....sadly over the last 2-3 years burnout over having to edit their game has stopped me from enjoying it as much as i used to.

As someone who has done a lot of editing of rosters myself I can understand how you could get burned out a bit Playmakers. It takes tons of time just to do 1 team properly. I was going to do a best of teams myself but after many many hours and only reaching the half way point I found myself losing interest.... that's why I'm very thankful when I find someone who is willing to do the work and make it as realistic as possible.

Wow...

A long slug thru the Pac10 but finally got thru it.

Now it's on to the SWC where I have 6 teams to finish.

Then I'll do the Big East (4), the Independents (3), then end with the ACC (all 10 left).

Wont be done until February at some point.

I'm targeting NFL Draft weekend for the Madden rosters.....

Keep up the great work on these and thanks for your continued patience on working on them because I know rosters these types of rosters for NCAA Football takes a lot of time and patience by the creator.

Ok the Big East is done.

I will do the independents and BYU next, then finish with the ACC. Hope to have the independents done by Monday.

Independents are done except for Air Force. Moved on to the ACC, whe UNC is also done.

Will hit Air Force and a few key players on some teams after the ACC. Those teams would be from the MAC, and WAC along with Memphis, Tulane, Hawaii, UTEP, Cincinnati, Louisville, So Miss.

Also need to reduce ratings overall for the non-power schools; I can see where some of these teams/players are rated FAR too high.

Then that will complete the work that I plan to do in the file.

Just a heads up the best player movement ratings you can make for this years game is to lower the following ratings

-5 Speed
-10 Acceleration
-10 Agility
-10 Jumping
-10 Strength

This would actually be the best way to seperate top teams/players from lesser schools.

Just finished Duke.

Only Wake, UVa, and VaTech and Air Force to go, along with key players from other small schools. Should be done by next Saturday.

Over the next few months I will probably convert this to a 1975-1985 roster set, as it was hard finding quality, recognizable players from the early 70s for many teams. The last few teams I did were done that way.

Teams done on Teambuilder only:

• Iowa State
• Kansas
• Indiana
• Cal
• Miami
• Northwestern

Teams done on the fiel AND Teambuilder:

• Texas Tech (still need some tweaking)

Ok.

So now I'm taking this set and tweaking for the years 1976-1985. Going MUCH faster as the base set is already established. Now it's a few more names and ratings, and many more players that are easy to remember. Fr example, Mike Rozier, Doug Flutie, Bo Jackson, Chuck Long. You get the idea.

Really like this roster. I've made several Custom Playbooks that make them play a lot better. It took a while for me to get the right slider to get the option game going from the Wishbone but once I did it was a thing of beauty. One tip on wishbone plays: The triple option pass plays work the best. Keep up the good work.

hey, please share your sliders! Wishbone is great but man it tough to make it work right for the CPU.
