EDIT: Seems like this version is Japan only for the time being.

I at least hope there is a MGSV PS4 Bundle similar to like they had for the MGSIV PS3 bundle

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes Is Short. Really Short.

The prologue to Metal Gear Solid V comes out next month, and if you're expecting a nice chunk of Snake's story to keep you occupied until the full game is done, you should probably know that it's short. Really short.

Game Informer got their hands on a near-final build of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes for their March cover story, and they say they beat the game's main mission (not including side quests or special console-exclusive missions) in less than two hours. Less than two hours!

"Judged just by the core story mission, Ground Zeroes is short," Game Informer writes in the cover story (only available in the magazine, not online). "We completed it in just less than two hours.

Ground Zeroes is out on March 18 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. It's designed as a prologue to MGSV—because Hideo Kojima wanted to give people something to play while they wait for the next entry in his stealth-action series—but it isn't cheap: the last-gen version is $20 digital and $30 physical; the current-gen version is $30 digital and $40 physical. P

Of course, it's unfair to get judgmental before we actually get our hands on this thing; this could be the best damn two hours of gameplay we've ever seen. Stellar experiences like Journey and Gone Home are also really short. But I imagine most people expected a little more from a big-budget production like Ground Zeroes.

The prologue to Metal Gear Solid V comes out next month, and if you're expecting a nice chunk of Snake's story to keep you occupied until the full game is done, you should probably know that it's short. Really short.

I've never said this but, Kojima, you can go fuck yourself.

I expected it to be short since its just a prologue, but $40 is a bit too much (even though I'm sure we've spent that or more on a night at the movies). Fully expect this to be more like $19.99

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes runs at 1080p on PS4, 720p on Xbox One

In the early months of the new generation, the topic of performance differences between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has been frequently revisited. Whether the furor du jour is frame rate or resolution, it’s been a point of contention for console warriors.

Konami has detailed how Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will run on all of its platforms. Thankfully, instead of just laying out the numbers, we’ve got comparison screenshots for context.

On last-generation consoles (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360), Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes runs at 720p/30 frames per second. Xbox One checks in at 720p/60 frames per second. Finally, PlayStation 4 performance is 1080p / 60 frames per second.

The close up shots give the best comparison between platforms. Unfortunately, the exact same angles aren’t available for all four platforms.

I agree with something Handle said not long ago, this generation seems to be the total reverse of the last one. Even with the PS3 coming out a year later it still lagged behind the 360 for another 1-2yrs in online and multiplatform game performance. Now it's flip flopped.

                          Not so far it isn't.

Sony Announces Limited Edition PS4 Bundle for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, and it Looks Sleek

We predicted it a few days ago, and it actually happened: Sony Computer Entertainment just announced a limited edition PS4 for Japan named PS4 x Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Fox Edition. The bundle includes a custom PS4, a DualShock 4, and the appropriate version of the game.

The PS4 included in the bundle is your usual CHU-1000AB01 with a 500 gb hard disk, but it comes with a custom FOX emblem and the logo of the game in gold. It costs 46,980 yen ($462), and it can be purchased directly at Sony’s Japanese store here.

Game Director Hideo Kojima himself commented on Twitter (also sharing the pictures that can be seen at the bottom of the post and giving more details on the logo), and yes, he really wrote “love call:”

When I had dinner with Sony Computer Entertainment’s Hiroshi Kawano last year he said “Indeed, we really want a Metal Gear limited edition PS4, don’t you think?” Due to that love call, we started to move in a hurry. Since we didn’t have much time, the announcement came at the last moment. I apologize. This picture shows samples, not the retail version.

This also shows the samples: we got prototypes made in various ways, but in the end we selected the laser etched version for the “FOX” logo in the middle.

At the moment there are no news about a possible release of the same bundle in the west, but you can see it portrayed in all its glory above and below.

My only regret is that it doesn’t come in gun metal like the PS3 bundled with Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots. That said, we’ll keep you updated if any relevant news on a possible edition for North America or Europe will surface.

Once again, although not denied for North America, confirmed for only Japan so far

If you want to continue posting in this thread I suggest you delete that last thread. It's very anti-Xbox Handle.
