its totally free to play. You can play through the whole game without paying a dime. I think they give you shitty characters to start and then you can buy others.

not sure but when i first got in the beta all I could choose was Daredevil, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Black Widow....

They got all the info they needed from the beta. They realized their servers were too weak to sustain even low level population. Wouldn't be shocked if it's down for the rest of the weekend

Was working for me this morning. Started as Thor. Seems like a fun little game

started out with hulk and had a bit of fun.. bought some other characters with the free currency they gave.. didn't get to try them out though.. definitely think i'll be playing this when the full version drops..

Hit Level 14 with Daredevil. I got a medal from beating the Grim Reaper that gives me 33 Health every time I defeat an enemy...I am getting pretty strong. I got his defense up to 120. Damn game is addicting as ever.

Basically, it's Diablo with marvel characters. Other people are around, but I've spent a lot of the game solo so far
