    Oh, I know. But that seemed to be the biggest issue. It seems that I lucked out because the update was pulled before my console auto-updated. I'd be willing to bet my paycheck that if the update went through I'd be fucked right now.

        I would say they should compensate everyone affected but I'm sure they'll have some company line about how you changing out the HDD was your choice.

          I was hearing some reports that it affected people with stock HDD's as well, just at a much lower frequency.

                  After reading some of the posts over at the psu forums, I'm staying away from 4.46. Dudes are complaining of black screens & data being corrupted - WTF? Since my problems started after 4.40, this 'fix' wouldn't have helped anyway.

                  Another bang-up job by Sony. How could they not take into account PS3 owners with upgraded HDDs?
