What is the most difficult game that you've ever beaten?

That final big battle in BioShock Infinite on the hardest difficulty was pretty damn tough. Don't know if that's the toughest I've done, but it's the first that comes to mind.

I beat Uncharted 2 on Crushing, TLOU on it's hardest difficulty IIRC.
Max Payne on Hardcore comes to mind as well.
I also remember Crash Team racing being hard as hell, trying to beat Oxide.

Yes, Phil, RIP. It may not be as difficult as I remember it being. That game was hilarious. I still have it and I have played it on my PS3 a few times (not beaten it, though).

Are you talking about that retro mode that they patched in later or just Hard (or Pinkerton, or whatever the fuck they called it)? If it was the latter I didn't think it was all that tough. It was more frustrating than difficult but I still think it only took me a few retries. The never ending spam of enemies dropping in made me want it punch a baby. It was just cheap.

Fuck that shit. I remember trying to give that a go after Chodite posted on MM that he had done it. Just goes to show you how long cheevos have come because the only way to really get any cheevos in that game was to beat it on Veteran. Veteran was just plain horrible. It had those bullshit invisible lines that you had to cross before the unending waves of enemies would stop. Not to mention that even though you had TWO grenades the CPU had an ENDLESS amount of them and would just spam them constantly.

I'm not sure what the most difficult game is that I've ever finished. I do know that I was pretty proud of myself when I finally beat Super Mario Bros on NES. I remember playing that game non-stop and just not being able to get past World 8-2 or 8-3. I had given up on it for a while and fired it up years later to beat it in a few days.

Dead Space 2's Hard Core difficulty might be the toughest I've beaten. It was certainly the most stressful.

OH I KNOW.... Gears of War 3 on Insane. It took myself, Twigg and Med like a week just to beat that final boss.
