PT is probably working. I'm sure he'll be on later to promise a link saying that MS was intent on this strategy all along. That link will probably (definitely) never come to fruition so don't get your hopes up.

No spin necessary, I whole heartedly believe this is a mistake. I know why they are doing it, but caving to the mouthbreathers who weren't gonna but the bone anyways just makes you look spineless. Stick to your guns or never draw them in the first place.
The gwg and paywall removal is fine, but removing the Kinect is a terrible mistake, six months in and they cave.

I've only been following the console wars from the periphery, but it seems like MS has been backpedaling forever.

I think a lot of you are missing a lot of the big picture here. Microsoft has been doing some massive things this year and its all starting with the new CEO.
Microsoft over the last 12 months has gone through some retarded changes and its not surprising things like dropping the Kinect happen.

Spencer shaking things up and people are loving it. I'd still buy the kinect version 10/10 times because I can't imagine not having one anymore. GwG was bound to get underway shortly, glad it has come. Wondering if they'll try to out-do PS4 by continuing to do two games a month. The paywall for apps....couldn't care less as it means nothing to me or anyone I know.

Glad that Gold mandate is gone. I like navigating the video apps with Kinect on 360 , my XBL just expired and I have no plan to re-up it.
Can the old kinect be used in any capacity with the ONE ?Best reason to have a license.

I'll buy one at some point. 399 is more reasonable than 500 and i don't care for the kinect so this is a selling point for me.
