The other football game - leagues (APF2K8 lives on!)

Hey folks. What a great site you have here. I never knew it existed until someone posted a link in another forum.
Many of you probably do not know that APF2K8 is still be played weekly in a couple of leagues.
With permission granted from Buckeye and Mr.Bill, We just wanted to let you know in case there is any interest.
We, in turn, will be promoting VSN in our forum and on a live broadcast this weekend. I'll post the Youtube video here later.



CAG NFL is a sportsmanship first, All Pro Football 2K8, 20 created players (CAP) league. You play the roles of owner, GM, coach and players on your NFL team! A simple set of rules govern each game. Each season, teams compete for the coveted Championship Trophy, championship medal and name engraved on the 'CAG NFL Wall of Champions'. The league comes alive with game reports, videos, up to date standings and daily forum discussion. If you played APF in the past, using 20 created players (CAPs) on a level playing field, with 3 ability bronze players, and legend faces that better resemble them - it's a whole new ballgame.

The Simulation Football League (SFL) was established in 2013 with the intent to provide the highest quality simulation football product in the world. I'm looking hard for Finn's editor, would it happen to be on the CAG website? I think it would be good to get that editor on VSN's forum for the few (if any) that still play the game.

I know a lot of the guys playing in the CAG league and the skill level is high, higher than my own, but I want to learn and I know there's no better way to play some of the guys in your league.

I think I might have come close to beating "SittinHereFlossin" once, Might have taken down RunandShoot once, but pretty much everyone else there kicks my ass lol.

fyi... the Baltimore Crabs (SFL expansion team) is all CAG NFL guys in the game.
SitnHereFlossin is our silver strong safety (closing speed and footsteps abilities) using part of his real name 'Eddie Gauge'.
RunandSh00t is our bronze CB (coverage ability). His name is Michael Sims... he is 'the sim champion'.

This is a problem for all of us man.

It's time to move on to the new console but the football game we want to play is still stuck on the old one. With no backwards compatibility a lot of us are screwed.

I kept it just for this game. Having an extra system doesn't take much room (next time you see one at a flea market/Craigslist).

Gamestop in the mall I work in is practically giving them away. Might just be my area, but I believe they are trying to move inventory out of store. However, if you don't have XBL already, that's an extra $50 a year plus the game, so I can see the issue there.
