You get a sheriff for Primm. I talked the former sheriff doing time in NCRCF to do the job after I payed for his pardon. I'm deciding wether to tell the Powder Gangers in NCRCF about the NCR attack or help the NCR take back the prison.

You'll have to get a Powder Ganger outfit before you set foot in the prison or else they shoot you on sight.

Which isn't so bad until the prisoners fire bullets, lasers AND dynamite at you.

If you do help out the NCR, take the left side of the prison where the entrance door is at.

From there, work your way through the Visitor's Center, RUN THROUGH the yard and into the NCRCF Administration building.

From there, either you'll have to kill everyone by yourself (SUCKS) or the NCR will do most of the work for you.

Just watch out for Lee if he comes callin'

nice....along with the video, the 2nd comment helps make sense of the game

You need to get Between 20 and 26 on your piles as fast as possible before your opponent does.

To place cards you first need 1 card on each 3 pile area, the 2nd card on a pile decides whether the pile is ascending or descending (so if you first put down an 8 and then put down a 6 the pile is going down from 6). You can then place any card ascending/descending in the same manor from the last card on the pile.
The other way you can put a card on a pile is by suit (Hearts, Clubs, Spades, Diamonds) from the last card on the pile. If you place a card by suit it doesnt have to be in ascending/descending order, and the same goes the other way around.
So if the pile was 8club 6 diamond, I could then place a 7 diamond on the pile, which would also change the pile from descending to ascending, not that it matters because 8 + 6 + 7 = 21, which is enough to make it a winning pile. Now you just need to do it for the other 2 piles.

Placing a Jack next to one of yours or your opponents cards strips that card from the pile.
Placing a Queen swaps the suit and ascending/descending order of the pile
Placing a King next to a card doubles that cards value

If you read this far then congratulations, youve now learnt the insanity that is Caravan, dont forget your giftbag on the way out.

          What I've been doing w/ a second character -

Killed Ringo w/o Cobb's help, worked with Eddie and the Powder Gangers (leaving no loose ends), got Meyers elected as Primm's new Sheriff, betrayed the Powder Gangers to the NCR in their raid of the prison and am headed to Novac.

High Charisma and Speech helps you get freebies, Science/Lockpick/Medicine help with dialogue/scoring caps, GUNS takes care of the rest.

Shit I did on the game last night:

Tracked Benny down, got him to go up to the suite with me to chat. Thought for a second me and him could be pals and work together. Then got ambushed after he left. Took care of it and then found Yes Man.

Went to the Legion Camp where Caesar was looking for me. Took his task to destory Mr. House's bunker but instead of destroying it I upgraded the security bots. Lied to Caesar and he let me decide what to do with Benny. [epic]I told Benny what happened in the bunker and he knew my plan beings as how I basically stole it from him. We both knew I had to kill him to get out of the camp alive, so I told him to close his eyes, but he said he'd rather see it coming[/epic] ..... ByeBye Chandler...

Caesar lets me out of the camp to go kill Mr. House. I got House out of the way (creepy) and now theres no way I go back to the Legion Camp cause I'm not sure if I'd get back out again. Mfer shouldn't have let me out alive in the first place.

So now I gotta go learn about all the factions in New Vegas to decide what to do with the place after me and Yes Man take shit ova.

            Epic.

I desperatly want to read the spoilers to check out everyones exploits in the wasteland, but I'll just have to wait it out until I finish the game.

Edit: Does anyone know of a good place to store my stash of goods without it disappearing? I don't know if you will be able to buy a "home" or not, I haven't made it that far. I know in Fallout 3, your shit would be gone for good if you left it in the wrong places and I would like to be able to keep some goodies around for crafting later.

Only thing I can't stand about this game is the ridiculous load times sometimes. Nothing like sitting at a loading screen for close to a full minute. And that's with the game installed to the hard drive too. *shrugs*

I got Rex and Boone killed, lol. My followers drop like flies.

I've been playing on hardcore from the start too.

I got Cass as my follower now, and have managed to keep her alive.

i heard load times get longer as you get further in. have u tried clearing your cache to see if it speeds up the loads? anyone remember oblivian having that issue?

Yeah, that definitely seems to be the case. I'm pretty far along, and the load times are hell right now, especially going in to certain places.

Clearing cache did help a little bit though, thanks.

not spoiler tagging this so hopefully other people dont do this...

I tried to make my dude an evil explosives guy, and while explosives are still way better than they were in FO3, they still arent good enough to be a main weapon. the biggest thing is you arent immune to damage while in VATS anymore so if you queue up a bunch of dynamite in VATS chances are the bad guy rushes you and you blow yourself up by hucking a grenade at your own feet. Guns are still the way. energy weapons seem much improved (and they were already pretty badass in FO3 on harder difficulties due to the armor piercing) and are much more readily available, but this is one really difficult game if you dont have at least guns or e weapons as a primary attack. so im gonna restart tonight with guns as my main evil guy, and energy weapons to come later on my very hard good guy playthrough.
