I started the Dead Money DLC today, and it's kicking my ass. Maybe it's the combination of starting with nothing in your inventory and being placed in an environment that constantly reduces your health.Comment

Wow:
So I got the chip from that legion faggot and I guess I'm at the point of what to do with the thing. I'm probably going to roll with the yes man side cuz fuck that talking computer and fuck the legion but I don't know how that helps the NCR.
Better idea is to make a save at this point since I can see how you can really branch off from this point.

Finished Dead Money today. Nice challenge overall with an interesting story that ties in to one of the companion's backstory. The swag was nice too. A tip for anyone who is planning on playing this DLC: get the materials to craft a few Weapon Repair Kits early on.
I also found that the Anti-Material Rifle makes quick work of Legion soldiers. I was expecting much heavier resistance when I went to The Fort and started shooting people. I was very disappointed with Caesar and his praetorians too.Comment

I had a SHIT ton of saves when it came to decision time of who to help. If I remember correctly if you go with Yes Man it doesn't help NCR, you only serve yourself.Comment

That makes sense because the NCR will sever ties with you if you help Yes Man past a certain point.
I wish I would have made a few saves before I got to the Strip now that I think about it.Comment

The multiple storylines and factions were a big part of why I enjoyed New Vegas more than Fallout, much harder and more interesting decisions than the retarded clear-cut black and white morality ones in Fallout 3.Comment

I made one so it was possible to still get each of the possible endings, but I just got bored with the game after going through 2-3 of them (and many, many hours)

I probably won't get a chance to play this again till later on tomorrow at this point so I got some time to think about it.

I ran into a problem where the game was crashing when I hit this one part of the map and shit would go crazy. I ended up just avoided the route I took but it still sucks to think if I ever have to go into that area I'm screwed.
Vault 22 really caused me some issues as well. I was getting some heavy lag in there.

I've encountered the same problems with huge lag/framerate drops. The only solution that I've found is to save (if you can) and restart the game.Comment

At level 18 now.
Told the legion to fuck off. I tried killing ceasar a couple times but it was probably a bad idea to do it while in the legion camp lol.
Meet up with the brotherhood of steel and I'm a member of them now. Really I just wanted their armour.

I joined the BoS for the same reason. Just make sure to find and repair a non-BoS piece of power armor so you can have the benefits without the shit that comes with being dressed as a Paladin. There should be a couple in the BoS safehouse if you need one.
Also, you'll need some good weapons to take down The Fort with some ease. I used the Anti-Material and Plasma rifles when I cleared it out. I also had Lily cloaked with ED-E tagging along as an extra measure.Comment
