Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Uncharted is the summer blockbuster of video games -- maybe not in sales, but just in the way it's set up. It doesn't do anything groundbreaking, and the story is merely serviceable, but it looks pretty and it's incredibly fun.

Will the series eventually get stale? Possibly, but people still flock to see James Bond movies even after four decades of movies. At it's core, each movie in the series is essentially the same, but each and every one does find a way to up the ante a little and make it refreshing.

so is the feeling still that this is a 9 or 10 overall? did it take you guys around 10-15 hrs to finish? i ask cause i want to rent it and make sure its short enough that i dont need to buy it. I wont play thru a 2nd time

took me about 12 hours to finish. its just like the first, except a lot more polished as far as gunplay and CQC go. id say its worth buying and holding on to but if you just want to rent it you should be able to bang it out in a couple days. it is almost better to play it in bigger clips since it is like a movie and the flow of the game is a lot better than if you stopped, played a couple chapters, stopped, waited a day or two then started again.

if you didn't like the first one they there is no reason why you would like this one.

The single player comaign is just bigger, better graphics, better story and more action. The gunplay is better....but overall it is very similar to uncharted 1.

You can beat the game in 2 days if you want.

I disagree. I thought the first one was over hyped. I got about halfway through it, got bored, and stopped playing.

The second one is 1000x better, so even if you didn't like the original UC, everyone should at least rent it.

The only complaint I have about the first game is that the game loves to throw about a million dudes at you and then calls it a "challenge."

Granted, a good portion of the gameplay is about taking out about a million dudes and then moving to the next set piece; but when the CPU doesn't give you a breather, it sucks.

UC2 fixed this by centering that same experience around the atmosphere of an action movie where those millions of dudes take a bullet and go down... and you are given a break afterward.

As for the rental comment, I would add that Uncharted: Drake's Fortune could still beat some of the garbage cranked out during the years since it's came out.

So did I...and I loved the first one.

I don't think I'll ever forget the first time you come into that clearing (in Uncharted 1) and see the German U-boat. The camera pans out and the lighting is remarkable.

I didn't think any game could look better than the first game. I was wrong.

i never see you playing MP . just hop into my party if you see me on

and during this weekend if you play on the heroes side your automatically skelzor and the "dead explorer" (some zombie looking dude) on the villains side. might as well enjoy playing as skelzor since it would take forever to get to level 60 (apparently once you get to level 50 you need a million points + to rank up)

Tonight was funnier than all hell... sad part was, what I was laughing at turned out to be an actual conversation between a father and his kid.

Thought that shit was ripped from a kids movie. :bunny:

For real though, best games I had in a while since I took a hiatus.
