What other game has a cover system like Uncharted where you can cover behind almost everything, shoot while hanging and still climb things like Assassins Creed. BEST GAME EVER

But seriously, in uncharted you dont need a open world game because the characters and story are so driven that you want to move forward and learn what happens on this rollar coaster adventure.

Also, this game does have a multiplayer you know, and those gameplay elements I told you about make multiplayer one of the best out there right now.

And that's just competitive MP. All of the co-op modes are a fucking blast as well.

btw twigg, i wonder if the folks at naughty dog would rather be on the metacritic list or this list....

2009 Console and Portable Game Software
          1) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (360) - Activision
          2) Wii Sports Resort (Wii) - Nintendo
          3) New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii) - Nintendo
          4) Wii Fit with Balance Board (Wii) - Nintendo
          5) Wii Fit Plus (Wii) - Nintendo
          6) Mario Kart Wii (Wii) - Nintendo
          7) Wii Play with Wii Remote (Wii) - Nintendo
          8) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PS3) - Activision
          9) Halo 3: ODST (360) - Microsoft
          10) Pokemon Platinum (DS) - Nintendo

because we all know how metacritic takes every review from every low rent gaming source known to man. And that those sources are totally credible.

you have fun with your i dont have to think games that are a $60 movie and i will have fun with my i need to think and actually have some skill games and i will DL the movies i want to watch.

The game is good and the only reason anyone would shit on it is because they like different games other than on-rails action shooters OR... a better game in their eyes has just come out.

It's whatever. You're either going to like it or find something to shit on, no big deal.

would this be an example of an on rails shooter? i was kind of thinking of using that to describe my thoughts, but i didnt know if that would be accurate

Given that you need to go from Point A to Point B, any game could be thought of as such if it gives a player a gun and an objective.

Even a game like GTA (3 through IV), with all it's "sandbox" features eventually becomes one because you are forced to go to Point B if you wish to continue with the story.

i enjoyed uncharted's mp way more then mw2. slower pace, firefights that could last more than 3 seconds. platforming is just as important as shooting. one thing it lacks is the depth of mw2 with all the customization possible

Makes me long for Army of Two: 40th Day if only for the mix-and-match guns, decals you can download/upload to your character for their masks (Clans will love that shit), and an advanced aggro-system.

I used to refer to MW2 all the time for the customization and now I talk about 40th Day, mid-game whenever I cause 4 out of the 5 opposing team players to want to kill me all at once.

Meanwhile, my teammates are sneaking around to deposit grenade suppositories and I love UC2 even more.

yeah but my understanding is there is a real genre called rail shooters. I never played one that i can recall, but was curious if this fell into that genre.

btw, you cant post that video twice in 2 days.....thats fail my friend

i havnt tried the MP yet. i am looking forward to getting owned though. MW2 MP has the depth, but the game is seriously flawed in many places online with its gameplay. The only reason i play is because of my friends that play. hell, i am thinking of getting mass effect to give me something new to play

UC2 would fall under such a category in that the way the designers of the game made the maps you play through.

Yes, you can look everywhere under the sun for hidden treasures but once you wade through the thousands of mercenaries pitted against you, there isn't much else to do but run towards the end of the level.

And as for the video, I'm going to post it as much as I want as long as you insist on trolling.

Uncharted is not a on-rails shooter, those are 1st person agmes where you literally dont do nothing but aim. But I guess the way you look at Uncharted 2 is the way I look at MGS4. Everyone seems to love the game to death, and whiel I enjoyed it, didnt think it was some great masterpiece.

Based on my sig you can tell i cant wait for ME2

Time Crisis, House of The Dead, Resident Evil Chronicles, Dead Space: Extraction. All=Rail Shooter.

A rail shooter is a game where you don't control your movements AT ALL. You may be able to control the camera a bit but that's it. The game moves for you and you just aim and shoot.

How can you be like 40 fucking years old and game as long as you have and not know what a rail shooter is?
