It Looks Like Bynum's Back
Over his last two seasons, Lakers center Andrew Bynum has only played a combined 85 games. Celebrating his 22nd birthday, Bynum scored 16 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and made 2 blocks against the rival Los Angeles Clippers. Every single one of his sixteen points was a monstrous, powerhouse jam. Clippers bigmen Marcus Camby and Chris Kaman could do nothing to defend Bynum's powerhouse physique. Even rookie Blake Griffin, said to be the Clippers savior, could do nothing against Bynum. Blake ended with 16 points also, but could only score 4 points while Bynum was on the court.
Even though fellow team mates Kobe Bryant and Ron Artest combined for a total of 57 points, the birthday boy looked like he is taking a turn toward his dream of all-star status. Many expected him to be a 4th, or even 5th option behind Bryant, Artest, Gasol, and maybe even Odom, but from the way he played on opening night, look for Bynum to get alot of playing time this season.

Opening Day Performances
On October 27th, and October 28th, the 2009-2010 NBA season began. Like any other opening day(s) in the past NBA seasons, the league brought many surprises and huge scoring performances. Among those performances were Cleveland's LeBron James, Miami's Dwyane Wade, and Indiana's Danny Granger. Other performers like Kobe Bryant, and Dwight Howard helped their respective team achieve victory as well.
LeBron James helped lead his Cavalier team to a 126-123 OT win over the Boston Celtics. Lebron was just one assist shy from a triple-double recording 37 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists. Other Cavalier members such as Maurice Williams also contributed to the Cavaliers last second win. Williams added 22 points to LeBron's 37, combining for 59 between the two of them. Rajon Rondo of the Boston Celtics was able to rack up 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists despite his team losing.
Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat, was able to put up a huge performance, scoring an outstanding 48 points, adding 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. He helped lead the Heat to a 115-96 victory over the New York Knicks. Other top performers between the two teams were Michael Beasley, 16 points and 7 rebounds, Nate Robinson, 19 points off the bench, and David Lee, 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Danny Granger had the best performance out of everyone on opening day. He racked up a career high 50 points, going 8/11 from downtown. He was also able to rack up 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. Granger scored exactly half of the Pacers points, as they defeated the Atlanta Hawks 100-91 on the road. Joe Johnson scored 24 points, but it wasn't enough to match up to Granger's terrific performance.
