Just eight games into the regular season the Indiana Pacers have decided to move first round draftee Tyler Hansbrough into the starting lineup at Power Forward . "We need some more toughness on the court ..... Tyler brings that and more" said Head Coach Jim O'Brien in todays press conference . Hansbrough who was taken at pick 13 this season is averaging 5.4 PPG and 3.4 RPG from the bench .
"I'm looking forward to my chance at starting . I will continue to work hard and put 100% in every night" explained Hansbrough . The Ex UNC star also touched on how he didn't expect to start this season and how much it meant to him . "Troy is a GREAT player . I mean I wish I had half his ability to shoot the three so it's a big shock that I will be starting instead of him but the coach wants our team to play a certain brand of basketball and thinks I am the right guy for the job" .... as for how much it meant to him Hansbrough added .... "This is huge , I have dreamt of this ever since I was playing shoot around in the backyard with my brother" .
Hansbrough is set to make his starting debut this thursday v the New York Knicks
