Positive - They pick up Ford who could take them from 6th in the West to top 4 . Watson is a solid backup with a nice 3mil expiring . Pachulia is basicly a younger version of Przybilla

Positive - Hawks pick up a expiring backup PF who can do a job on the defensive end . They also get two 2nd round picks while cutting Pachulia's contract

Negative - Not much talent to be had in the 2nd round of a trade unless you are really savy . They lose a 2nd choice center which isin't too big of a blow with two more waiting in the wings

With the news that the Pacers have dealt ace Point Guard T.J Ford out and received Nicolas Batum and Jerryd Bayless it is obvious to everyone that they are concentrating 100% on re-building . The Pacers may have given up any hope of a 8th seed with the trade but they have picked up two great pieces to build with in the future while only helping a Western Conference team out in the playoffs .... something that won't directly come back to hurt them in the next few years .

In todays press conference the two ex Blazers smiled for photos while answering a few questions

Q: How does it feel to be in Indiana
JB: Feels great .... this is a basketball place and you can sense the history from the moment you walk in
Q: Nicolas ... how will it feel being a big part in a team moving forward instead of a bench guy on a contender ?
NB: I don't feel like it's that difference , the Blazers were young too . But to answer your question it feels great to be here .
