              Who Will Win The West?

              With just three weeks left in the college football season, the West is about as cluttered as possible. Their is a five-way tie for first place. The only team that doesn't have two losses is Arkansas who has four. Here we will rank who we think has the best chance to represent the West at the Georgia Dome.

              1. Alabama started off the year on a roll winning their first seven games. However, since then they have struggled mightily losing to Tennessee and getting blownout by LSU, both at home. Still, their remaining schedule sets them up to win out with at Mississippi State, Chattanooga, and at Auburn.

              2. LSU is one of the hottest teams in the nation. After getting beat by Mississippi State and Georgia, they have gone on a four game winning streak that have all been blowouts. First they beat Florida 30-14 in Baton Rouge. They followed that with a 35-10 beating of Auburn and a 58-16 beating of Tulane. The biggest upset was dominating Alabama last week 31-0 in Tuscaloosa. They have a favorable schedule playing Louisiana Tech, at Ole Miss, and Arkansas to finish the year.

              3. Ole Miss has already lost to Alabama and Auburn so winning in a tie-breaker scenario will be tough.They have a mildly tough schedule remaining with Tennessee, a red-hot LSU, and at Mississippi State.

              4. Auburn has won three of their last four but their remaining schedule is too tough. With two games remaining they have to play at Georgia and Alabama. Georgia is a team that a lot of people believe is the best in the nation right now. They are undefeated and ranked second in the nation. Then, they have to play Alabama in the Iron Bowl. Alabama beat them 36-0 last year and should blow them out again this year.

              5. Mississippi State has lost three of their last five yet are still in the hunt for the SEC West. It will be difficult as they have one of the toughest remaining slates left. They have to play Alabama, at Arkansas, and Ole Miss. They were beat LSU earlier in the year so they have a possibility to be a Cinderella.

                Deep South's Oldest Rivalry

                ==--------------------------

                Auburn Tigers Vs Georgia Bulldogs
                ---------------------------(6-4)==-------------------------(9-0)

                Rece Davis: Georgia has won this game now for three consecutive years and they are undefeated. Auburn is 6-4 but is thick in the SEC West race and if they win there is a strong chance they will play the Dawgs again for the SEC Championship. Its the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry on ESPN! What are your picks guys?

                Lee Corso: Why is this even being asked? Of course Georgia is gonna win! They are undefeated and have the fifth best defense in the nation. On the otherside you have Auburn who is struggling on offense and rush defense. Lets think here.... bad rush D and Caleb King, hmmmmmmmmmm............ Georgia wins easy.

                Kirk Herbstreit: I don't think it will be as easy as you say. This rivalry is an odd one where the away team usually wins. Also, until the past two years, the underdog usually wins. This game reminds me a lot of the 2006 game. Auburn was ranked fifth in the nation and Georgia was struggling. Georgia went into Auburn and blew them out! Auburn is going to return the favor today!

                    Either way, nice ass-kicking of TTU, great recruiting (hopefully that 5* S isn't a second coming of Reshad Jones), and good luck against Auburn. With all those recruits looking at you, this one is huge.

                        yeah. if i remember right his score prediction was 49-14 hawaii.

                        and thanks bout the win and i still believe in Reshad. He was great in 2007 and most of last year. He broke his hand in the Auburn game and that was when his tackling declined. He still is pretty good and I think he will be a beast this year :rockwoot:

                          hell yeah GATA!

                          and Greg Blue was a fucking beast. Georgia needs a safety like him and Thomas Davis. I'm thinking Quintin Banks can be like that for us. He is a man haha

                            Dawgs Blowout Tigers!

                            Branden Smith returning his fourth kick return for touchdown on the season.

                            The Dawgs dream season continues as Georgia upended Auburn 43-7. The game started out close as neither team could score in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Reshad Jones sacked Kodi Burns in the endzone for a safety. Georgia scored on the next drive after Cox threw a 38 yard touchdown pass to Michael Moore. Auburn rallied back to make the game 9-7 with a minute left in the half but with six seconds left, Cox threw a 36 yard pass to AJ Green for a touchdown. The Dawgs went into the half up 16-7.

                            Branden Smith returned the opening kickoff to the house for a 22-7 lead. Georgia continued to open up the game when King scored on a two yard run with three minutes left in the third period. The Dawgs ended the game after two defensive touchdowns in the final quarter to win 43-7.

                              I'm not sure if we have anyone like Blue on the roster now but I get the feeling that Ogletree and Jakar Hamilton will be great back there in the future. Two headhunters - CWM's defense needs a shot in the arm with some playmakers like them and Branden Smith.

                              Nice win, too.

                                I think Banks can and I'm very excited about Ogletree and Hamilton too. CWM's defense should work this year because we should have a consistent pass rush. I hate his system so much but when we get a pass rush it works. When we don't though.........
