    Winless Lions to Host Eagles

    Winless Lions to Host Eagles

Detriot's Calvin Johnson is arguably the best young receiver in the league.

The lowly Detroit Lions, who finished 11-5 last season, have returned to their own ways by starting off this season at 0-5.

They will be hosting the 3-1 Philadelphia Eagles, who are coming off of a victory against the San Francisco 49ers.

If Philadelphia's running game shows up against Detroit they should have no problem forcing the Lions to remain winless.

      Eagles Barely Escape Winless Lions

      Eagles Barely Escape Winless Lions

      (3-1) - 24 @ 23 - (0-5)

      Recap:

The 3-1 Philadelphia Eagles traveled in to Detroit to face off against the 0-5 Detroit Lions. The Eagles seemed to underestimate the Lions squad, looking a bit out of sync.

Donovan McNabb struggled early but found his game eventually, and backup quarterback Michael Vick was able to throw for two touchdowns on just five passes. LeSean McCoy's run attack was also satisfactory.

Lions' quarterback Mathewt Stafford threw two costly interceptions, proving to be the downfall of Detroit's possible upset victory.

The Eagles will travel to Miami to face off against the 3-4 Dolphins and their star quarterback Brad Beckum.

Vick is sick in Madden. So fast and if used correctly is a deadly weapon. Gets me on average 8-20 yards every time I line him up in the wildcat.

Dolphins to Host Eagles in Week 7

Dolphins to Host Eagles in Week 7

Ronnie Brown is one of the league's most established and dangerous running backs.

The 2-4 Miami Dolphins will be hosting the 4-1 Philadelphia Eagles in a week seven matchup.

Quarterbacking for the Dolphins will be Brad Beckum, the reigning offensive rookie of the year. Beckum's arm draws comparisons to some of the NFL's greats, including Peyton Manning.

Donovan McNabb hasn't looked his sharpest in the past few weeks, and if the Dolphins are able to get in his face he may be forced to throw an interception or two. Michael Vick has shown that he is a capable alternative thus far, but McNabb's play will need to return to its usual state for the Eagles to compete.

The bottom line is that the Dolphins have one of the most explosive offenses in all of football. If their defense can apply strong pressure on the Eagles' offensive line, the Dolphins could pull off an upset.

McNabb Struggles; Dolphins Take Eagles by Surprise

McNabb Struggles; Dolphins Take Eagles by Surprise

                  (4-1) - 14 @ 21 - (2-4)

                  (VIDEO WOULDN'T UPLOAD)

                  Recap:

The 2-4 Miami Dolphins hosted the 4-1 Philadelphia Eagles in a week seven matchup. Eagles' quarterback Donovan McNabb, who has struggled so far this season, looked very shaky once again.

Dolphins' quarterback Brad Beckum, the reigning offensive rookie of the year, played very well, throwing for 333 yards and a touchdown despite throwing two picks. Running back Ronnie Brown was also able to punch the ball into the endzone off of 78 yards.

The Eagles' passing game just looked out of sync, and for that reason, the Dolphins were able to perform a mid-season upset. The Eagles will need to step their game up next week when they host the 4-2 New England Patriots.

Eagles to Host Matchup of 4-2 Teams

Randy Moss has eight touchdown receptions through six games.

The 4-2 New England Patriots will be traveling to Philadelphia to face off against the Eagles, who are also 4-2.

Eagles' quarterback Donovan McNabb hasn't looked like his usual self so far this year, while Tom Brady of the Patriots has looked as sharp as ever. New England's offense has one of the best aerial attacks with Brady armed with wide receivers Randy Moss and Wes Welker, and they now have a running game with halfback Darren Sproles.

Both of these teams are widely regarded as two of the best in the league, but with Philadelphia coming off of a loss against a mediocre Miami Dolphins squad, New England should be able to come out on top.

Good luck against New England. Two losses this early in the season might ruin you're chanses for another Super Bowl. Lets hope McNabb can find back to the form he had the last two seasons in your franchise ;)

Eagles Surprise Pats in Blowout Victory

                                (4-2) - 19 @ 35 - (4-2)

                                Recap:

The New England Patriots visited the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field in a battle of 4-2 teams. Despite having the same record, the Eagles were dubbed the underdogs because of their deflating loss to the Miami Dolphins the week before.

Philadelphia quarterback Donovan McNabb, who has struggled as of late, came back to his true form against New England by throwing for 234 yards and three touchdowns. Running back LeSean McCoy also shredded the Patriots' defense, finding 130 yards on the ground and a touchdown.

New England's offense put up good numbers, but their only touchdown came on a kick return by Wes Welker. The Eagles were able to steal a win and will be visiting the 4-3 Dallas Cowboys next weekend.
