I know. It's crazy but the Trojans aren't the only ones who are being upset.

So you guys may have noticed that my updates have been coming much slower this time around. One of the major reasons is easportsworld. I think I may stop posting pics and just posting highlights because I have a heck of a time uploading the pics to easportsworld. I think I spend more time trying to upload pics than actually writing the reports. And right now as I'm writing this, the "my media" thing is not even coming up at all. I wish they never updated that website. It worked fine for 08 and 09. Now it is just a mess.

I hate the new website so much, it fucks up and takes years for the pictures to show up half the time.

If I were you I'd just take like 1 or 2 pictures and call it a day.

Good news. I think I figured out the best way to upload pics. I wasn't going to "My EA Sports World" or whatever it is called. Now they seem to upload over the oldest pic immediately. :D

Unfortunately, now my videos aren't working.

            #18 Oregon State (6-2) at Cal (4-4)

Berkeley, CA - The Beavers have now made themselves legitimite contenders for the Pac10 crown as Oregon State controls its own destiny. Even though rival Oregon sits on top of the conference with an undefeated record against Pac-10 opponents. If the Beavers were to run the table the rest of the way, including a win over Oregon in the Civil War, then Oregon State would be headed to the Rose Bowl. That is a big "if" as OSU would have to get by a talented Cal team that has underachieved this season, only managing a .500 record thus far. But with Jahvid Best, the Golden Bear offense still remains dangerous. The last time the Beavers met the Golden Bears in Berkeley, OSU stunned then #2 Cal, who was playing to be the #1 team in the nation. Cal fans have not forgotten and Memorial Stadium was prepared for revenge.

The Beavers could only manage a single first down on their opening possession and were forced to punt. Cal would have a long drive end with a missed 26-yard field goal. But then OSU QB Lyle Moevao tried to connect with TE Howard Croom. Croom was covered by the outstanding CB Sydquan Thompson who easily made the pick and returned it for paydirt to put Cal up 7-0.

Cal CB Sydquan Thompson picks off Moevao and returns it for a touchdown.

On the ensuing possession, Moevao was under pressure, and hit as he threw the ball. The ball floated up in the air where it was intercepted. Memorial Stadium went nuts as Cal was about to take an early big lead. Fortunately, OSU was able to hold Cal to a 35-yard field goal to make it 10-0 Cal.

Then Reggie Dunn found a seam and outraced the Cal special teams, returning the ensuing kickoff 98 yards to the house to put Oregon State on the board, down 10-7.

OSU Reggie Dunn returns the kickoff to the house.

The big return took some of the air out of Memorial Stadium and then Cal was forced to punt. OSU had the ball in the 2nd quarter with decent field position but Moevao threw another interception as he was trying to connect deep with WR Darrell Catchings. Though Cal could not take advantage of the turnover, going three-and-out. Moevao continued to struggle. Already with three interceptions and then he missed TE Howard Croom wide open and WR James Rodgers wide open, leading to an OSU three-and-out. Cal QB Kevin Riley was not having any trouble disecting the OSU secondary as he was able to thread a ball through tight coverage into WR Verran Tucker for a 16-yard touchdown pass. However, the extra point was missed so Cal was only ahead 16-7 going into halftime.

Cal WR Verran Tucker with a 16-yard touchdown in traffic.

Cal was forced to punt to open the 3rd quarter but the punt was a beauty that was downed at the OSU 2-yard line. Pinned inside their own 5-yard line, OSU could not do much and when Moevao missed an open James Rodgers on third down, the Beavers had to punt from their own end zone. Cal wasted no time taking advantage of the excellent field position as QB Kevin Riley hooked up with WR Jeremy Ross for a 15-yard touchdown over the middle. Jeff Tedford decided to try and chase the lost point from the missed XP, going for two, but OSU stopped the attempt so Cal was only ahead 22-7

Cal WR Jeremy Ross with a 15-yard touchdown reception.

To make matters worse for OSU, Moevao would be drilled in the pocket and the ball would fall to the turf. Cal would return the fumble recovery for a touchdown. Suddenly, Cal was up 29-7. Memorial Stadium was exstatic.

OSU QB Lyle Moevao is drilled in the pocket for a fumble returned for a touchdown.

Finally, Oregon State would calm down the crowd with a good drive. And Moevao would finish it off when he was able to find James Rodgers in the end zone for 10-yard touchdown despite heavy pressure. Mike Riley decided to go for two put failed so the Beavers were behind 29-13.

OSU WR James Rodgers with a 10-yard touchdown reception.

As the 4th quarter got underway, Cal was forced to punt after a three-and-out. Then on the ensuing possession for OSU, Moevao hit James Rodgers about 15 yards downfield, where he spun past three Cal defenders and was off to the races, zipping in for a 42-yard touchdown. Then younger brother, HB Jacquizz Rodgers got the ball on a toss to the left and fought his way across the goal line to suddenly make it 29-21 Cal with plenty of time left in the game.

OSU WR James Rodgers spins out of trouble for a 42-yard touchdown reception.

The momentum had now swung in favor of OSU but Cal QB Kevin Riley was able to get his offense moving again as the Golden Bears quickly moved into the red zone. But Riley threw a pass over the middle that was intercepted by OSU OLB Keith Pankey in the red zone, likely preventing Cal scoring the final points to win the game.

OSU OLB Keith Pankey with an interception in the red zone.

Moevao led the Beavers on an impressive drive, throwing clutch passes to TE Howard Croom and WR James Rodgers, to get OSU into the red zone. But then Moevao was sacked on a rollout, losing a ton of yards. However, on the next play with 2:07 on the clock, Moevao was able to elude the pressure, stepping in front of an incoming blitzing defender, stepped up and hit James Rodgers in the end zone for an 18-yard touchdown, the third time that the two had connected for a touchdown, to make it 29-27 with 2:07 left to go in the game.

OSU QB Lyle Moevao eludes pressure and hits WR James Rodgers for an 18-yard touchdown.

Now Oregon State needed the two-point conversion to tie the game. Moevao faked the handoff to "Quizz" and rolled out. Just as he was about to throw the ball he was wrapped up and sacked as Memorial Stadium erupted in a huge roar.

OSU QB Lyle Moevao sacked on the two-point attempt.

Oregon State still had enough time and all of their timeouts so Mike Riley elected to kickoff rather than try an onside kick. But Cal HB Jahvid Best was able to get a first down on the third-and-short run to preserve the victory for Cal as the Golden Bears avenged their loss to the Beavers two seasons ago and snapped the two-game winning streak OSU held over Cal. The win also put Oregon firmly ahead in the Pac-10 race as the Ducks are now two games ahead of the rest of the conference contenders.

Man rough loss, 4 turnovers by your QB is hard to overcome.

At least you somewhat contained Best on the ground.

That was just terrible. I'm going to be messing around with sliders. Best and Quizz should be having a bigger impact.

Worse than that, Oregon is not very far from clinching the division. It now seems likely that the Civil War will have almost no meaning since it looks like the Ducks will already have the division clinched.

                    Week 10

                    #7 Oklahoma (6-2) at #8 Nebraska (7-1)

                    Incredible Comeback

Lincoln, NE - Two more Big 12 teams with explosive offenses but on a cold evening in Lincoln, most thought that defenses would dominate in a low scoring game. Especially, considering both teams boasted two of the best defensive lines in the nation. However, it was apparent that HB Roy Helu was going to be the bread and butter of the Cornhusker offense as Nebraska got in position for a 31-yard field goal but the kick was wide left of the uprights. Then HB Demarco Murray was able to get the Sooners into scoring position in the red zone. But last year's Heisman trophy winner, QB Sam Bradford was picked off in the end zone by Husker SS Larry Asante.

The Cornhuskers would strike first when QB Zac Lee threw to WR Niles Paul for a 3-yard touchdown to put the Cornhuskers on top 7-0. However, after some clutch passing by Bradford, OU HB Demarco Murray was able to cross the goal line from one yard away to tie the game 7-7. On the ensuing possession for Nebraska, HB Roy Helu would temporarily leave the game after being shaken up by a big hit. In came HB Quentin Castille who was able to score on a 3-yard toss to put the Huskers ahead 14-7.

After back-to-back interceptions by Lee and Bradford, the Huskers would score on a 55-yard field goal. Later, Lee would connect with HB Roy Helu for a 1-yard touchdown pass to put Nebraska up 24-7 at halfttime.

It looked pretty bleak for the Sooners coming into the 2nd half, but HB Demarco Murray would break a run to the outside and house the 41-yard touchdown scamper to put Oklahoma in reach, down only 24-14. But the Huskers quickly countered back when QB Zac Lee on a playaction found TE Mike McNeil wide open, taking it all the way in for a 43-yard touchdown reception to put Nebraska up 31-14. Later, HB Roy Helu broke a run up the gut for a 75-yard touchdown run to put the Huskers way out in front 38-14.

But the Sooners were not done yet as Bradford hooked up with TE Jermaine Gresham in the corner of the end zone on an 8-yard touchdown to cut the lead to 38-20 as the Sooners failed to convert the 2-point attempt. Then OU got a break when CB Jonathan Nelson picked off Zac Lee and returned it all the way for a pick-six to suddenly make it 38-27. Oklahoma would force Nebraska to punt but Jameel Owens fumbled on the return which the Cornhuskers recovered. However, Zee threw another pick-six to suddenly make it 38-34 going into the 4th quarter.

The game finally settled down as Nebraska marched down the field and tacked on a 33-yard field goal to put the Cornhuskers ahead 41-34. But the Cornhuskers had lost the momentum and the Sooners were looking unstoppable on offense. The Sooners finished off a drive with FB Matt Capp scoring on a 2-yard touchdown scamper to tie the game up 41-41. On the ensuing possession for the Huskers, Lee checked down a pass to HB Quentin Castille but he was lit up by OU LB Ryan Reynolds, forcing a fumble, which was returned for an OU touchdown. The Sooners had taken the lead for the first time in the game as OU was now ahead 48-41 with only 3:37 left to go in the game.

Suddenly, all of the pressure was on Zac Lee. OU DT Gerald McCoy disrupted the play and forced a fumble on Lee, which the Sooners recovered. Sam Bradford would then throw another touchdown pass to put the Sooners ahead 55-41 as the Sooners made an incredible comeback and the Cornhuskers choked the game away with some costly turnovers.

                      Game of the Week

                      #3 Florida (8-1) at #9 South Carolina (8-2)

Chris: Welcome to Columbia everybody where the Gamecocks *crowd cheers* will take on the Gators. *crowd boos* Well, don't look now but guess who is back in the championship picture? That's right. We had all assumed their back-to-back national title chances had evaporated when they were so shockingly upsetted by Kentucky but the Gators are now ranked #3. South Carolina has had somewhat of a surprising season, winning their first six in a row, but after losing to Alabama and then falling to Vandy, what do we make of the Cocks? But if the ol' ball coach was able to beat his former team today, South Carolina will put itself in position to challenge for an opportunity to play in the SEC championship.

                      Games of the Week

                      #16 Miami (6-3) at #14 North Carolina (6-3)
                      Kirk: UNC Lee: Miami

                      #25 Tennessee (6-3) at #11 Ole Miss (7-2)
                      Kirk: Miss Lee: Tenn

                      #2 Virginia Tech (8-1) at #12 Maryland (8-1)

Chris: Might that Hokie-Terp showdown be a preview of the ACC Championship? Well, we move on to our SEC duel here in Columbia. *crowd cheers* Before we get to the our picks for the game. Erin, is there any chance that Deonte Thompson might make a return to the field today?

Erin: No, it does not appear so Chris. Deonte Thompson is still dealing with a pinched nerve that he suffered against Georgia a couple weeks ago, but there is a chance he might be able to play next week. Urban Meyer is not concerned as he knows that the Gators have plenty of depth at the WR position.

Chris: Well, that is too bad but Meyer is probably right. That Gators seemed to be loaded at every position. Okay guys, time for your picks.

Kirk: For South Carolina to have any chance today, they will have to play a perfect game and hope Florida makes plenty of mistakes. That is not going to happen. This is a good Carolina team but they stand no chance today against a much more talented Gator team that outclasses them at every position. Gators win big. *crowd boos*

Lee: Last I checked Urban Meyer has Tim Tebow who has 20 total touchdowns and only three interceptions so far this year. This is an easy one. I agree with you Kirk 100 percent. *Lee puts on the Gator headgear and does the "Gator chomp" as the crowd boos* Go Gators!

                          Washington (3-6) at #23 Oregon State (6-3)

Corvallis, OR - The Steve Sarkisian era is off to a less than stellar start thus far but the Huskies have already won three more wins than they did last season. Oregon State has just barely managed to stay in the top 25 after a heartbreaking loss to an underachieving Cal team. The loss to Cal may have ended the Beavers' chances of winning the conference but officially Oregon State is still in the race, but if Oregon wins two more games, the Ducks clinch the Pac-10.

It was a cold afternoon at Reser Stadium where the Beavers looked a bit lethargic at the outset. Washington QB Jake Locker on 3rd down gunned a pass deep down field to WR Jermaine Kearse who made the over the shoulder catch with OSU CB Patrick Henderson trailing behind to score a 44-yard touchdown right out of the opening gates to put the Huskies on top 7-0 just like that.

UW QB Jake Locker guns a pass deep to WR Jermaine Kearse for a 44-yard touchdown pass.

The fans were a little surprised to see the lowly Huskies take an early lead but OSU responded quickly when QB Lyle Moevao, on the opening play, playfaked to HB Jacquizz Rodgers and bombed it deep to older brother James Rodgers. The UW corner misplayed the ball badly and Rodgers easily made the catch. Then ran through the tackle and was in for a 66-yard touchdown reception. Both teams had already scored all within under a minute of action, but unfortunately for OSU, kicker Justin Kahut missed the extra point so the Beavers were still down 7-6.

OSU WR James Rodgers catches the bomb from Moevao and runs through the tackle for a 66-yard touchdown reception.

As well as the first possession went for Washington, the second one did not start off quite so well as HB Chris Polk left the game with a concussion that is likely to keep him out of action for three weeks. The loss of their playmaking tailback was a major loss and then the Huskies missed on a 40-yard field goal attempt. Not long after the missed field goal, Moevao dumped a short pass to James Rodgers who spun past one defender, juked by another and was gone for a 49-yard touchdown, already his second TD to put OSU ahead 13-7.

OSU WR James Rodgers with his second TD reception.

Without Polk, Washington struggled offensively and went three-and-out just as the 1st quarter came to an end. But the Huskies' defense finally showed up, sacking Moevao and forcing OSU to punt. Both teams suddenly could not find any rhythm but the Huskies would put a drive together and HB Brandon Johnson would finish it off with a 5-yard TD scamper to put the Huskies back on top 14-13.

Later with under two minutes, Moevao hit who else but James Rodgers over the middle where he was able to outrun everybody 49 yards to the end zone for his third TD of the game to put the Beavers back in the lead 20-14 going into halftime.

OSU WR James Rodgers with a third TD reception.

Washington would not find the answer to stopping the OSU passing game as the Beavers started the 2nd half with a methodical drive. It would be finished off when Moevao rolled out and found TE John Reese wide open in the end zone for an 8-yard TD to put OSU up 27-14.

OSU QB Lyle Moevao rolls out and finds TE John Reese in the end zone.

It was now starting to look like the Beavers were pulling away until UW QB Jake Locker also engineered a methodical drive and finished it off by connecting with TE Kavario Middleton. OSU OLB Keaton Kristick was unable to keep Middleton out of the end zone on the 6-yard TD reception, cutting OSU's lead to 27-21.

OSU OLB Keaton Kristick unable to keep UW TE Kavario Middleton from crossing the goal line on a 6-yard TD recption.

The way this game was going, OSU just had to keep scoring. Unfortunately, WR Darrell Catchings fumbled away the ball which the Huskies recovered. Washington now had a chance to regain the lead but the OSU defense forced a timely three-and-out. Going into the 4th quarter it was still anybody's game.

However, Moevao did not lose any faith in Catchings as he found the receiver on rollout on a drag across the field. Catchings spun by the defensive back and found nothing but green in front of him, taking it the distance on the 52-yard TD. Then "Quizz" was able to score on the 2-point conversion to put OSU up 35-21.

OSU WR Darrell Catchings scores on a 52-yard TD recpetion.

Reser Stadium could now breathe and give a sigh of relief as it looked like the Beavers had put this one away. But the Huskies were not dead yet and Locker stepped up and put an impressive drive together. At the OSU 5-yard line, UW WR Goodwin totally beat OSU CB Patrick Henderson off the line where Locker hit him for the TD. However, the Huskies missed the extra point so Washington still found themselves down 35-27 with still 4:25 remaining in the game.

UW WR Goodwin wide open in the end zone as Locker hits him for a 5-yard TD.

If the Huskies could now stop OSU, Washington would have a chance to tie the game. But the Huskies could not stop "Quizz" as he would get to the outside behind some nice blocking. Then juked past the safety and was in for a 35-yard TD as the Beavers went ahead 42-27.

OSU HB Jacquizz Rodgers gets to the outside, makes a move and is in for a 35-yard TD.

Surely, now Oregon State would put the game away. But Locker would connect on another deep 36-yard TD pass and Washington would convert the 2-point try to suddenly make it 42-35. The Huskies needed to recover the onside kick to have any chance but it was not to be as the Beavers recovered the onside kick. After a few kneel downs, Oregon State was able to escape disaster on their home field.

                              Week 11

                              #3 Florida (8-1) at #9 South Carolina (8-2)

Columbia, SC - The Cock fans were fired up at the start for this one and when QB Stephen Garcia hooked up with Hills for a 20-yard TD connection to put South Carolina in front 7-0, Williams-Brice Stadium went crazy. However, Tim Tebow hooked up with WR Riley Cooper for a 51-yard gain, setting up the Gators inside the 5-yard line where HB Jeffrey Demps scored from two yards out to quickly tie the game 7-7. Then Garcia was picked off by Gator CB Joe Haden to set up a 1-yard TD pass from Tebow to WR David Nelson to give Florida a 14-7 lead just like that heading into the 2nd quarter.

On the next Gator possession, South Carolina would hold the Gators in the red zone on a big goal line stand as Florida would have to settle for a 21-yard field goal to put the Gators ahead 17-7. Then Garcia threw a deep pass to HB Eric Baker which he made the catch and housed it, scoring on a 56-yard TD reception, cutting Florida's lead to 17-14. But South Carolina had no answer to stop Urban Meyer's offense as Tebow would score by running one in from four yards out to put the Gators up 24-14. At the end of the half, the Gamecocks were held in the red zone and Steve Spurrier decided to go for it on 4th-and-one, but the Gator defense stuffed Baker as they had all game-long.

The 2nd half opened with Tebow running to the outside and pitching the ball to WR Riley Cooper on an option. Cooper broke an arm tackle and took it to the house for a 43-yard TD as the Gators were starting to pull ahead 31-14. Later, Tebow eluded pressure, shoving a LB to the ground, and stepped up to throw a laser to the back of the end zone to WR Riley Cooper for a 20-yard TD, making it 38-14 Florida.

It would only get worse for South Carolina as Stephen Garcia, under tremendous pressure was picked off by Major Wright. That would lead to a 1-yard TD pass from Tebow to Cooper to make it 45-14. The Gators continued to pour it on in the 4th quarter as Garcia would finish the game with five interceptions. Tebow would throw one more TD to WR Carl Moore from 29 yards away as the Gators were making it a laugher, up 52-14. Garcia would connect with Baker again for a meaningless 36-yard touchdown but it was no contest for the Gators as they poured it on with a 52-21 whippin' of Steve Spurrier's Gamecocks.

Thanks. Washington does have some good young talent. They might be good next year. I was really surprised how that game went down. Thank god they lost Polk or I don't think I would have won.
