Heat pull the trigger on a 3 team, 8 player trade
Sean May and Kosta Koufos will be joining the Miami Heat through this trade
With the Heat struggling with a 3-8 record, they felt as if they needed to switch things up. They in fact did that. In a trade involving 3 teams, the Heat, Jazz, and Kings, 8 players, and a draft pick, there were no superstars traded. There was only role players, but those role players could make a difference. Here's how the trade went down.
Heat Recieve
PF/C Kosta Koufos
PF/C Sean May
The Heat get a project center in Kosta Koufos which they will need with Jermaine O'Neal and Udonis Haslem not getting any younger. He can play both PF and C and more than likely will be working on his game in the D League this season. The Heat also get Sean May, a big body that can play PF which they have been dieing for all season.
Kings Receive
PG Chris Quinn
C Jamaal Magloire
PG Ronnie Price
SG/SF Yakhouba Diawara
Kings made their team better with this trade. They trade away Sean May, Cliff Davis, and Sergio Rodriguez to get these guys? Steal to say the least. They get an experienced veteran in Jamaal Magloire, who will step in at starting center while Spencer Hawes is out with an injury. Chris Quinn is an expiring and can step in and play well for them. Ronnie Price will be a project for the Kings. He already is a great point guard and now he will get the chance to challenge Beno Udrih for the starting point guard spot. Yakhouba Diawara was sent to Sacramento as a contract filler, but he can play lock down defense and is a dead eye three point shooter.
Jazz Receive
PG Sergio Rodriguez
C Cliff Davis
2010 Second Round Draft Pick via Heat
The Jazz shed contracts here and opened up some time for other players. They now have a new backup center in Cliff Davis who is a rookie and they believe can be better then what Kosta Koufos could have been. Getting rid of Ronnie Price opens up time for rookie point guard Eric Maynor. They also get an expiring in Sergio Rodriguez, who can step in and start or play good amounts of minutes if need be. They can use that second round pick on a needed player at a position or to trade up in the draft.Last edited by LC AAU; 10-11-2009, 06:08 PM.sig is too big, resize itComment

(3-9) AT (8-5)
Jose Calderon (75) vs Mario Chalmers (74)
Marco Belinelli (66) vs Dwyane Wade (96)
Hedo Turkoglu (76) vs Michael Beasley (72)
Chris Bosh (84) vs Udonis Haslem (70)
Rasho Nesterovic (61) vs Jermaine O'Neal (75)
Another second half let down, another loss for the Heat
Those white folks wish they could jump as high as Dwyane Wade
