Wolves Get Approval Of Pavlovic Buyout
The NBA approved the Wolves' contract buyout of swingman Sasha Pavlovic, clearing the way for Minnesota to waive him today.
Pavlovic, acquired as a free agent in the offseason, saw his minutes plummet after Jarvis Hayes (who signed a 2 year extension just days ago) was acquired from New Jersey earlier this season.
"It's given us a bit of room, not cap room but just breathing room and flexibility to move ahead for our future," Wolves GM David Kahn explained. "You've got to balance the financial reality with the basketball possibilities."
Terms of the buyout were not disclosed.
Coincidentally, rumors surrounding the Wolves of a possible trade at the upcoming trade deadline are starting to heat up. The Wolves roster now sits at 14.
