Caron Butler of the Washington Wizards is coming off of a spectacular season in which he averaged 21 points per game, made the Eastern Conference All-Star team, and led his team to the NBA Finals. This year, Butler has bigger goals in sight.

"I think we are a much better team than we were last year already," said Butler. "We won't let ourselves get off to that slow start we had last year, we got a developed JaVale McGee and young Jennings running point. We're gonna be taking the league by storm."

When asked about personal goals, Butler said with a smile,"Well I think that this is my year for MVP. We gotta find a way to keep LeBron and CP3 out of the running first though. But for real, it's about the team this year."

The Wizards will be facing off with the Boston Celtics in their first game, proving to be an immediate test for the Wizards squad.

"We can handle them," said Butler. "I see at least 50 wins coming for us this year, we're gonna be elite."
