VIKINGS MIDSEASON REVIEW



The Vikings head into there bye week with the record of 6-2. With losses coming from the Packers and Steelers.

The Vikes have the 9th best rushing game in the NFL. With 1021 Yards on the Ground this year. Besides yardage the Vikings lead the NFL with 12 Rushing Tds on the year.

The addition of Brett Favre has both its pros and cons. The Vikes have the #1 Ranked offense in the NFL, with the 3rd Best Passing Game. They also lead the NFL with 34.3 PPG. Favre has come in throwing the ball decent but his 12 interceptions are a killer for the passing game.

The Biggest concern has been the Defense. The Vikings have given up the 3rd most yardage in the NFL behind the Bills and the Rams. Quarterbacks have had there way with the secondary all season. But they are 7th in takeways with 16, with 10 of them being interceptions.

The vikings must take a run into the playoffs following this bye week if they want to continue playing in January.
