Mike D'Antoni Speaks Out "There will be a big move this offseason"

Knicks Coach Mike D'Antoni has let it be known that The New York Knicks will be going after a PF/C this offseason, whether it be a signing of a free agent or a trade, something will occur. With only 8 games left Knicks management know that they've got to make a change, a big problem that New York had was height. Playing David Lee at center worked against smaller teams, but when Knicks come up against a taller team they struggle on D.

But its not just on D that has caused this issue, on offence only having one big man causes a problem, there biggest Power Forward is Ronny Turiaf at 6-10 which is pretty good but the talks are that Al Harrington might be on his way out. Harrington hasn't made his usual impact this season, especially on the Offensive end.

Some say that New York would be better with a better defensive threat at Center while moving David Lee to Power Forward which might make Lee even more threatning. Harrington isn't small but hes not very tall compared to other Power Forwards that he'll come up against.

So the question is, who should the Knicks go after? whether it be a young athletic Center in 7 foot Javale McGee from Washington who is a physical presence on both ends of the floor. Or should they go for some experience for a guy that everybody knows is passed his best, but back in his best days was a huge defensive presence. His height isnt all that impressive but if he could find some old form could be a great pickup, Ben Wallace.

Players That New York Have Shown Interest In:

Joakim Noah - JaVale McGee - Kevin Love - Ben Wallace

Drew Gooden - Roy Hibbert - Andrea Bargnani - Kendrick Perkins

Players That Could Be On The Out:

Al Harrington - Larry Hughes - Patrick O'Bryant

Harrington was good my first season, he was my best scorer but we still had a terrible record. 2nd season he was pretty bad, not scoring a whole lot and Turiaf and Landry were good backups so when Harrington struggled he didnt get much court time.

The way i see it, its time for a change

Man, looks like your better off just going for a higher lottery pick from here on out.
