Hornets land Bosh!!! But did they give too much?

                    New Orleans,LA

If nobody saw the Hornets as a title challenge before today , they certainly will now . The normally quiet Hornets have landed a mega deal that brings superstar Power Forward Chris Bosh to New Orleans .

The Toronto Raptors had accepted that Bosh would probably leave at the end of the season in Free Agency so over the last few weeks they have been "testing the waters" with the NBA big-hitters.

Hornets Coach Dan Archer had this to say ..... "When the phone rang and it was the Raptors on the other end my eyes lite up , i mean players like Chris only come along once . We had to pay a steep price but you dont get A* Quality by giving Crap out .

To say the Hornets gave out "alot" is an understatement . The Hornets gave out Starting PF David West , Starting SF James Posey and a 1st round Pick in exchange for Bosh`s services.

This deal surely means that the Hornets are making a big push at the title , Chris Paul now has a superstar caliber player to play alongside .

At todays press confrence an excited coach Archer spoke about his respect and gratitude for David West and James Posey for the services they had given to the team .

"James is a clutch player that is good enough to start at any team" says Archer , he also said that "David has the ability to be a special player"

Korver waived ; Ariza signed within the Hour

                      New Orleans,LA

Only 72hours after pulling off a huge trade for Chris Bosh the Hornets were back on the market . New Orleans decided to Waive Kyle Korver in an attempt to cut down on some of the lockeroom negativity . Korver had publicly announced his dislike for Coach Archer and his methods . Korver also spoke about his frustrations with the Hornets ..... "Its annoying when I KNOW im better than some of the guys on the court . I think it was a personal thing , he didnt like me for some reason and thats the way it was going to be" .

Koever was traded for last season by Archer in a 1 for 1 deal involving Mo Peterson (The Hornets only deal last season).

                      In comes Ariza

Within the Hour , the New Orleans Hornets had made a phonecall and snapped up Small Forward Trevor Ariza from Free Agency . Ariza had decided to test the FA market in the off-season after his agent and LA could`nt come to terms with a deal. "I didnt expect to not have a team after a month and a half of the season , i think i showed in LA that i can start in the NBA. I dont even have a big contract , it doesnt make sense but that is all in the past now"

Ariza is certain to start at SF for the Hornets with Peja remaining at 6th man

And that is my two announcements

I only made one trade last season and no signings

I am happy with the team now for the rest of the season

My starters are better now but there is less depth so this should be fun

Gave up a ton in the trade though.

You should have shipped your first rounder with West as you don't need it anyways (it'll most likely be a near second-rounder). Posey's a great guy to have on a championship team.

Anyways, what's CDR averaging on the season?
