I think Dexter will try to cover up how Rita died somehow to try to prevent Miami PD from reopening the Trinity case. Considering he is dead and all. Also anxious to see the effect that Rita's death will have on Deb and Dexter's co-workers.

I think this is where Dexter's encounter with Trinity in the police station may be to his benefit. I think he might be able to make a case that Trinity was scouting for his next victim, and he decided to break the pattern to get some last minute revenge on someone who was (presumably) working the case to put him away and was responsible for his daughter's suicide.

I'm reading a lot of people saying they won't be watching season 5 because this ending was so horrible....it's a show about a goddamn serial killer, what the hell were you expecting? Every season ending with Dexter wrapping everything up neatly would've gotten REAL boring

Oh absolutely, the ending to this season has had me thinking about what's going to happen since I watched it. The first three seasons ended alright but they were all wrapped up and had a nice feeling to them, this is the complete opposite

In the interview, Dexter mentions the possibility of the writers having Dexter go apeshit crazy with killing since nothing is holding him back now

Just finished Season 1. Very good.

I didn't like her when I first jumped into the show (halfway through Season 4), but my goodness Deb is such an annoying twat. Totally unlikeable character that's an emotional wreck. Her emotions change like the breeze over some of the most trivial things. Example, Dexter gets the blood test for his biological father and she fucking loses it, "HOW DARE YOU QUESTION HARRY!!11eleven!" If she's not whining to Dexter or her co-workers about how Dexter never opens up to her, she's whining about how her insecurities and frustrations/failures in life - ALWAYS on the verge of tears. The way she needs Dex to grab her by the hand for every little thing is maddening.

Musaka = dat nucca. He's hilarious.

Batistia is awesome. Probably my favorite character at this point.

Rita isn't annoying yet and it's interesting to see her develop into a character with a backbone. At this point I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop - at what point she gets as worrisome as she was in S4.

LaGuerta is so arrogant for someone who doesn't do much but bully co-workers and smile for the cameras. I still am confused at how she's gotten to the position she's in. Hopefully her attitude changes for the better.

Obnoxious, rude, trigger happy and fucks other cop's wifes in his spare time. I don't like Doekes at all, but I'm intrigued about where his story goes because of the animosity between him and Dex is so palpable. He knows something isn't right about him and I bet it comes to a head in S2.

I started watching season 1 on december 1st. I finished season four 2 hours ago.

Its a great show and all but I hate these suspenseful type shows and I dont think I would be able to do a week to week thing like the rest of you. But its so greatly written I keep watching to find out what happens.

Im still deciding on if I want to watch the 5th season...

because i am so depressed rita is off the show while debra is still on. no character in all of tv annoys me as much as debra. almost ruins the whole show.

                                I just finished Season 2.

Still don’t like Deb, but she’s a tad more tolerable now. On a plus side, she’s more confident, not nearly as whiny and actually she contributes to cases now. The downside is that she’s just fucking nuts and has a manic father complex. I know she’s the emotional foil to Dexter, but for fucks sake. She’s practically thirty still acting like a HS sophomore – jealousy, neediness, sense of entitlement and all. If she says “Well thanks for the fucking vote of confidence” or something like that in that smarmy tone of voice one more fucking time, I will cheer for her demise with no shame or regret.

The second shoe dropped pretty fast for Rita. I definitely see shades of her mother in her. While she's shows signs of vulnerability like in Season 1 and a relatively likeable character, she's become more assertive - even bit possessive and manipulative of Dexter and my guess is that it gets worse from here.

Lila. Lila, Lila, Lila. I bought into the hype. She was hot and actually seemed to understand Dex, but it was too good to be true. And sure enough, Lila turned out to be seven kinds of crazy with a penchant for fire. She did Batista dirty after he dropped that ¡LA PASSION! on her ass and that I cannot forgive.

Wow. LaGuerta is such a bitch.

Doakes vs. Dexter did not disappoint at all. While I didn’t like him, part of me felt bad by season’s end because he and Dex seem t o have reached some common ground and I’m really going to miss their interactions. How Doakes met his demise was surprising to say the least.
