That was my first guess, from the start of the show he's been bitching about LA and wanting to go back to NY...I probably can cancel my Showtime subscription now since I never watched it except for Californication and Shameless.

EDIT- wait, I just thought, if he's on probation he's not allowed to leave the state without permission, so probably not NY.
