No. Richard's life of violence is done. He will continue to have nice moments with his girlfriend and Tommy until they leave for the family farm at the end of the season. I have fully convinced myself this will happen.

Although, you're probably right. I can see Richard making some sort of deal with Nucky for a large sum of money to kill off their enemies. They have to be keeping him around for something big. I could also see Gyp's right hand man killing him for what he did to his cousin.

Please, oh, please don't give Richard the "just one last job, then I'm OUT" storyline because that will surely mean the death of him. In the history of fiction, the "ONE LAST JOB" has a 0% success rate.

I'm just playing devils advocate here but we never actually saw Masseria or however you spell it at the bath house IIRC just Owen inside for a second. I know Lucky let Masseria know there would be an attempt on his life but there's no way he knew it would be at the bath house. The only people who knew were the random fuck with the info, Eli, Mickey and Owen.

Edit: I just rewatched it. Owen checked into the bath house with the random dude with the info and they got 2 towels so the dude stayed. Why wasn't the dude in the crate as well?
I don't think Nucky knew what was going on between them until seeing her reaction to his body. A nice theory though.

              Yeah.

Buscemi nailed that fucking scene. You could see his subtle facial expressions the moment he realizes that Owen was banging out his wife. That stuff is so easy to go overboard on. But Nucky is a con man and it was just subtle enough to be believable, while also not playing his hand to Margaret. Awesome stuff.

Watched the episode last night. I agree, it is the only way that Owen could go out. I really liked his character though, so I am sad to see him go.

I agree with all of you, Buscemi nailed it during that scene. His reaction was spot-on. The only thing I think Margaret could try and explain away is that she doesn't want that life for her children and her reaction was based more off of that, rather than an affair. I don't see the writers trying to go that route though. I think it will simply be an understanding between Nucky/Margaret and I feel like his comment about a "new start" was a bit of foreshadowing for their relationship moving forward.

Gyp is gonna eat it before this season is over. He is too unpredictable for any of the bosses to trust for a long period of time and it's bad for business. We still haven't seen the rise of Capone just yet either.

AMAZING episode. So many classic one-liners.

"What happened to him?" ... "What happens to everybody, only sooner."

"How should I address you?" ... "You doin' it"
"We been on the road 18 hours. Need a bath, some chow, and then you and me uhs gonna sit down and talk about who dies."

Next week is going to be insane. Full on war between Nucky and Gyp. Not to mention it looks like Richard is about to go on a rampage WHICH HE WILL COMPLETE SUCCESSFULLY AND GO BACK TO THE FARM TO HAVE A NICE FAMILY LIFE.

Oh my lord. My Under Armour sweatpants have never been so tight like when Capone came in at the end. One of the greatest lines I've ever heard on television.

Richard bringing out the guns. TREMENDOUS
