There's a thread on reddit about how this episode is the one that ties the whole series together. Basically, Walt's experience with Grey Matter and his bad buyout situation has gotten him to the point where he has to prove that his chemistry knowledge is enough to build his own empire. All he ever thinks about is how he got screwed and destroyed his future, and now he can actually do something about it. That's where it went from paying for cancer treatments to being greedy to the point of self-destruction.
I thought that was pretty common knowledge. I don't know if I made the comment in this thread or on another forum...but innocent Walt was gone the day he and Skylar went to the Schwartz party. That was when he really realized he was an underachiever and he was going back to the people that screwed him over for a handout.

This was the first time they overtly said it, but I thought what was said before was pretty common knowledge of why Walt is the way he is.

I don't know if it'll come out or is even true, but I assume Walt leaving Grey Matter is due to some sort of relationship with he and Gretchen.

Todd keepin the spider jar is going to wind up biting someone on the ass. Fingerprints are all over it. It may wind up a Gale/notebook scenario where Todd is killed and the jar is found.

Todd gonna die at some point, not sure when.

Also think Mike is gonna get himself killed, he knows it. He needs to get away from Walt, always has said that, just can't seem to make it happen. Walt is mother fucking MacGuyver.

I'm excited to see Walt's idea next week...

What I would do in that literal position. Is leverage the product with the Arizona dealer. He wants blue off the market, so why not make his product blue. Walt then becomes his supplier for his entire market, as well as the New Mexico one and they can basically begin a world take over as they'd be making hundreds of millions off those 2 markets alone. The empire Walt wants can start right here. Huge gains for both the Arizona meth lord and Walt.

From what I've taken from other posts and rewatches, Walt cheated on Gretchen with Skylar (who was a cashier/waitress at a diner he used to visit), Skylar got pregnant with Walt Jr., and Walter picked up and left Gretchen while she was on vacation with her family. He took the buyout partly as guilt, partly as hubris thinking that the company would go nowhere without him.

Now he's "stuck" with a pregnant wife (before episode 1) that treats him as inferior, a son who's cripple and kind of a dick, and a shitty teaching job that none of the kids are inspired by. Now he's realizing how "superior" he is to everyone, and he's becoming reckless.

I think you mean, he is becoming the boss

All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

                "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

He thinks he's becoming the boss, but think about it. He's been in the business for less than a year. He was only exposed to Fring's operation for, what, three months, max? He thinks he has it all figured out...but he really doesn't know shit.

And it's all going to come back and bite him on the ass. I think whatever deal he makes with this new group is the beginning of the end.

Until Jessie comes up with the bright idea to add his chilli powder back into the mix, turning the blue meth purple, or dark red, making everyone think there is a new guy in town.

there are a few things i need to vent about this show. some bigtime holes in this shows plot. When the RV got smashed, i guess it never occurred to DEA agent to use the fact that it was stolen as probably cause? It also never occurred to Walt to find some way to contact Jesse so he would know a DEA guy was parked outside his house. OR to mention it to Badger so he wouldnt do the obvious things and call Jesse so he wouldnt lead the DEA guy right to the RV?

idk, maybe its the DL that i have, but all the spanish conversation and i have no subs to know wtf is being discussed . If there are no subs on AnE then i dont understand the point to this shit cause i have no clue whats going on in all that dialog other than 2 bad guys seem to want to kill walt because of that taco dude they got killed.

another thing that annoys me still is for about 6 or 7 shows in S2 they continued to showed the pink stuffed animal and the shit around the pool, the body bags and so on....i was really annoyed that the big final climax to all that build up was an over the air plane crash. It felt very over hyped for the end result

and walt wife is a serious cunt. she needs to die a horrible death. i guess Walt has no right to be a bit secretive about his thoughts being that he is dieing of cancer.

I do like the show, but i dont think its even close to as good as people make it out to be. And to think retards on this site have the nerve to put it in the same category as the wire....lol

its funny how everytime there is a lull in the story line they come back in a big way. Just got to the next show where Hank gets suspended and shot. That was a pretty intense scene

I was the same way until the end of season 3.
