Way to miss the point. The kid is Walt's only connection to sympathy and morality. Matter of fact, Walt jr. is there to prove that even though every character is imperfect, his is solely physical, making him a foil of Walt.

I'm going with Skyler kills Walt and that he asks her too so it clears the family completely of any involvement... And then the show closes with Walt telling Jesse (from the past) that he's doing all this for his family!

And I hate to admit it but overall I thought that was a slower episode after the 2 episodes before that
I didn't find it 'slow', but definitely less action-packed. But not every episode can be explosions and gunfire. It was an incredibly tense episode and still a great piece of television.

Walt Jr. never understood anything that was happening to him. I get that. The acting for that character, IMO, has always been atrocious, physical disability or not.

There is very little in this show that I don't "get." I have just never liked the character, especially when he goes on emotional tirades.

Here's the problem that I have with dramatic irony.

We, as the audience, know that everything that Walt has done has been for his family. Even when he's only trying to convince himself, we KNOW that this is the reason he's doing all of this. From making the video at the start of S1E1 to trying to convince the vacuum guy to give the money to his family...it's always been for them.

But they don't know this. They don't get why he killed all the people over his time as Heisenberg...nobody killed was an innocent by any stretch...were killed to protect the family, his money and his legacy.

Skylar has never understood this, she only saw the legality and never the truth. Junior was fine and dandy driving new cars and shit, until he found out the truth. The truth? He won't even talk to his father, so he only gets one side of the story....and hangs up when Walt tries to explain himself. The only character that has at least SOME understanding of Walt and his motives is Jesse, and he is so blinded by hate that he doesn't see anything else.

Walt Jr. just so happens to be "THE KID"...every show has one at some point...they are oft-annoying, and if they weren't there, no one would notice.

They've smartly, dropped a lot of alternate sideplots featuring Walt Jr. that they wanted to create over the years...they don't expand on his character or cast him in any other light other than being the sympathetic kid (he's actually kind of an asshole with the whole teenage angst angle they often went for, if you think about it, disability or not) who can't help but being sympathetic by proxy of his disability...

I think Walter White has tried to convince the audience and himself as a character that he is doing this for his family...when in actuality, all of this was done for himself. Off of his hard work, other people succeeded while he was stuck being a teacher and with cancer. Cooking Meth was his last resort to make something successful of himself. Being a honest family man was never enough for Walter White. And, when cooking meth left him with nothing (much like his work for Gray Matter)...here we are.

He would have just swallowed it and kept going. Whatever decision he made was brought on by the absolute disrespect and/or lack of awareness people had of his abilities. If anyone had treated him even neutrally I dont think he does it. Its Hanks one upping , Skyler being a cunt , and the Grey Matter fucks just walking all over him that prompts that desire to over compensate.
His initial and underlying goal was always family. But I think the "take care of your family and noone will know" wasn't enough he wanted to be sure people knew it was him that did it and that he was smarter than all the ass fucks who put him down. He gave Hank bread crumbs , he turned down walking away several times , and it wasn't until that obscene pile of cash was shown to him that he snaps out of it and says ok enoughs enough.
Being an honest family man was enough IMO but being doormat shouldn't have been part of the deal.

Because the lil kid is left after mommy got shot I assume Jesse makes it out ok along with Skyler.
Awesome would be everyone dies and last scene is Saul spoon feeding Holly...post credits the fat black guy in the room wondering if theyre ever gonna let him out.

Honestly I don't think the kid is alive. I think the show just knows better than to show the execution of a child.

The leverage is gone then. I think they would have at least alluded to it had they offed him in that episode no?

What about Todd executing the kid on the bike earlier this season?

They already said "at least the kid is still alive"

                                They didn't kill Brock.
