So ill take the answers in spoilers.

 

Is Joffs younger brother made by the same two who made him? Or is his blood pure.

who did it?

Was the cake or the pie?

In the books, what is Tywins reaction to all this, I didn't see a shot of him afterwards.

Here you go, be wary of spoilers -- particularly regarding the poison -- I won't give it all away but some:

 

1. Cersei did not have a child with King Robert. All of them are born of incest from Jaime. Remember in season 1 the whole "the seed is strong" thing? Basically, Robert's never had a kid (and he's had a bunch of bastards) that doesn't have dark hair. All 3 of the "Baratheon" children are practically bleach blonde. So yeah, you ask someone like Stannis, he's going to say that Tommen is also an abomination.

2. Sansa's necklace was poison. Lady Olenna (Margery's grandmother or the Queen of Thorns) swiped one of the jewels from the necklace, and off camera, dropped it into Joff's wine. There's a lot more to it that should play out in the next couple of episodes, though.

3. Not sure what you mean here. It was a pie, and the wine was what was poisoned.

4. I can't recall exactly, but the books are unique to the show. Every chapter is from a character's POV. This particular scene is played out in its entirety between Sansa and Tyrion. As such, I don't recall a comment to his reaction, but I'm assuming it would be similar to the show -- immediately do the practical thing and go to the next king.

Oberyn is sick. Not sure what his character is like in the book but I like the actor casted. Seems like a dude I will be a fan of.

The Martells are my favorite house. Wait until you meet Oberyn's daughters, the Sand Snakes. And his niece Aryanne.

Regarding Tywin's reaction, he doesn't really give a fuck. He knows that Joffrey was a sick little shit and now that Tommen is so young, Tywin knows that he'll be the acting ruler for the Realm for a lot longer since it will take longer for Tommen to come of age. Also, Tommen isn't a monster like Joffrey.

can someone please xplain to me the ramsey theon sub plot? Wife and I completely lost on tht. we dont know why ramsey captured theon. Not sure why he got tortured. Not sure theon wasnt with his Starks family (we do know his back story). Also who is the guy who gives commands to ramsey and how are they all connected to the starks.

Ramsay Snow is the bastard son of Roose Bolton, the fella who helped conspire to kill Robb Stark ("The Lannisters send their regards") Roose Bolton is the Lord of the Dreadfort and the Warden of the North (Ned Stark's former position).

Theon captured Winterfell to impress his father, Roose convinced Robb Stark to let his bastard (Ramsay) get it back. Ramsay convinced Theon's cohorts (iron islanders) to bail on Theon. Ramsay takes him prisoner because he is valuable as the heir to the Iron Islands lordship and since he is a psycho, he tortures Theon.

The Iron Islanders (Theon's family) hold an important crossing region called Deepwood Motte. Roose sent Ramsay and Reek (nee Theon) to get it back. Roose also sent Locke (guy who chopped of Jaime's hand) to find Rickon and Bran Stark, the Stark boys everyone thinks Theon killed.

Hope this makes sense.

This was a scene I never really "got" in the book, as it was just in the midst of trying to reform Jaime. This somehow made it even weirder, because it felt far more "rapey" particularly considering in the show universe he was already rejected once, as opposed to this moment of quasi non-consensual dead body boning.

Still felt that by the end, Cersei was into it, but I was kind of hoping that they would just drop the scene for the sake of continuing to redeem Jaime.

dont know if anyone else noticed it but the front page of yahoo.com had a massive spoiler from last weeks episode

 

joffrey's death. had a big picture of "who will be the new king??" or something to that effect

just 2 or 3 days after it aired. normally i avoid all sorts of discussion and especially this thread before i watch a new episode but i did not expect to see it on the front page of yahoo
